Optional addition
by Alison
This volume does not actually continue the Erased storyline, but instead gives optional insight into the a handful of characters during the time of the original storyline. It is very emotional and a beautiful read, definitely worth picking up. If you choose not to, however, that's totally fine and you aren't missing a key part of the story.
Extra Bonus Content
by Ness
This product contains several side-stories featuring side-characters and their perspectives of the events in the main story-line. If you enjoyed these characters and wanted more insight into them, this volume may interest you. However, it does not highly impact the story or continue it in any meaningful way. This may be a positive or negative based on if you think the original story was perfect or needed improvement.
I myself wonder whether it's necessary to ask for such content if the story is already complete? Does it actually dilute the author's work? Does it indicate things were left out of the story? In that case why not do a sequel? I would enjoy a sequel that explored Satoru's powers more. Perhaps one where he challenges another criminal with a different agenda?
As a collector this volume sticks out a bit on the shelf as it's half the size.
I would have preferred they incorporated it into the other volumes or extend this volume so they all have a more equal number of pages.
