Emma Manga Omnibus Volume 2 (Hardcover)
About Emma Manga Omnibus Volume 2 (Hardcover)
Emma omnibus volume 2 features story and art by Kaoru Mori.
Not wishing to cause a scandal within the Joneses' household, Emma chooses to make a clean break from her old life and takes a train to the sea. As chance would have it, Emma finds herself sharing a car with another maid, who serves at a large manor in the country.
A big house bustling with servants seems an ideal place at which to move forward after losing her mistress and leaving her love back in London. Learning the precise dance of domestic service in her new environment is a welcome challenge, but how long can hard work divert Emma's mind from the longing of her heart?

Worth it! Filled out some gaps :D

This volume covers Emma's first days in the Molders Family until -- to. avoid spoilers let's just say until Emma and William are able to meet again. If you've watched the anime you'll know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, I find this volume more consistent with the anime, barring any additional/slightly modified scenes, though it went away with one sub-plot which involves another maid. Shame, for that was one of my favorite Emma moments in the anime series. It also would've cemented the fondness of her new mistress for her more obviously, but Mrs. Molders does admit to it later.
I have to say that the relationship between Emma's new employers is depicted more passionately than in anime, which causes Emma no lack of embarrassment XD
I love it but that cliffhanger has me broken

The ending of this volume left me sobbing, talk about a cliffhanger! I HAVE to buy ther rest of the series or else I don't know if I'll be able to survive now. If only each volume weren't so expensive: the lengths I go through for hardback + omnibus.
