A great Victorian Romance
by Damien
I was hesitant to buy this series, but after reading "Bride's Story" (same artist and author Kaoru Mori) I was spellbound and decided to move forward.
Kaoru Mori is fantastic in her artwork and just the most simplistic of things she can make into fantastic visuals!
That said, I was going into "Emma" with high hopes, which I was not disappointed.
After purchasing the first and falling instantly with the story, I purchased the rest.
You can love the characters, and even the villains, understanding their reasoning.
As for the main character, you want her to succeed. You see her backstory, her interactions with the other characters, and one loves every moment of it.
It's unfortunate, that it ends, but all good things come to an end, and still Kaoru Mori did a wonderful job pulling me in and even loving the side stories.
It's a tragedy that the Crystal Palace is now gone, but this manga series that Kaoru Mori created, relives that Victorian Era in all it's splendor!

One of the Greatest Victorian Romance Story
by Ashley Halo
I read this manga back when I was in Highschool when it was publish by CMX and I really enjoy it!
The story follows the middle-class working maid Emma and the weathly merchant William Jones living their lives in the Victorain era while falling in a forbidden love.
The story takes a slow and enjoyable pace to get to know our main leads and the other side characters.
Background art is so breathtaking as the mangaka does a wonderful job drawing the details and makes you step into that time era.
The Leads Emma and William are so adorable as their love blooms and facing many challenges in a society where everything is the status quo.
Will their love conquer all?
I'm really happy this manga is back when a omnibus and hardcover
If you love a well-written and great pace love story with wonderful Characters.
This is worth a buy
Beautiful
by acolvin09 -
A must-have for the Victorian, romance and art lover. The material is beautifully written and the illustrations beyond detailed. I'm glad I went with the hardcover version as it's well bound, larger than the usual manga size, and sturdy. Perfect for repeat readings.
