About Eden of the East Movie 1 King of Eden Blu-ray/DVD

The intrigue goes international in The King of Eden, a feature-length conspiracy thriller that continues the action of Eden of the East. The deadly game that began in Japan now intensifies on the streets of New York City. The rules are the same: do whatever it takes to win. Die if you lose.

Takizawa prevented Japan's destruction - and then he vanished. Six months later, clues lead Saki to the Big Apple in search of her missing friend. Meanwhile, the remaining Selecao are plotting their final move. Some of them would prefer Takizawa dead and out of the way. Some might even be willing to help him achieve his goals. Unfortunately, some are prepared to destroy everything if it means claiming checkmate in Mr. Outside's puzzling game.

Continuation of the Eden of the East Series

by -

If you have seen Eden of the East then this is a must see. It is a continuation of the story following shortly after the series. It holds up to the high standard set by the series and continues the great storytelling you've come to expect from Eden of the East. There is also another movie after this that wraps the story up. If you have not seen Eden of the East ensure you watch the series first before returning to watch the films as you will be missing the majority of the plot.

This is an alright continuation of a great show

by -

I would say if your if you really liked Eden of the East then you will like this movie as well. Though I would skip it if you were not such a huge fan of the original show. The inclusion of the prequel movie is a nice bonus, but really there is not much more worth in the DVD features. If you are not a collector there are no extras to make owning it worth while beyond watching it on a streaming service.

Movie 1 of 2, the move to finish the story continues...

by

Own, Online Viewing, or Evade
This show is definitely worth Owning.

Overall Rating 3.5/5
Movie 1 of 2, the King of Eden, continues the tv series directly. The movie focuses a lot more on the co-lead, Saki Morimi. She travels to the USA to find Akira Takizawa and the two move closer together.

This is also a must watch anime. This movie starts and stays slower than the preceding anime. There’s action but this movie is more drama than usual. The other cell phone users, Selecao, have it out for Takizawa as he follows a different endgame…

Theme Songs 5/5
The movie has a really good ending theme like the tv show, the same band with a different song.

Ending 3/5
NO spoilers, the ending was…. to be continued. The final movie, Paradise Lost. Finishes the plot started by the tv series and this movie. Don’t stop here.
