Dororo Manga
About Dororo Manga
Dororo features story and art by Osamu Tezuka and is presented in an omnibus format which collects all three print installments.
Daigo Kagemitsu, who works for a Samurai general in Japan's Warring States period, promises to offer 48 body parts of his unborn baby to 48 devils in exchange for complete domination of the country. When the baby boy is born, Daigo has him thrown into a river, hoping the boy will die. A kind sage, however, finds him and adopts him. The sage fits out his poor son with prosthetics.
Time goes by and the baby grows into a boy who calls himself Hyakkimaru. Every time Hyakkimaru eliminates a devil, he retrieves one of his missing body parts. Hyakkimaru meets a boy thief named Dororo and together they travel the countryside in search of the devils who possess Hyakkimaru's parts. Throughout their travels, they face monsters and ghosts.

The greatest manga I have ever read
by Mr.Skeebs
This manga is very heart felt, touching and very well written. It truly teaches you to value your life, and cherish what you have. It also tells you in some ways how good or bad life really is. This is a great book. A great manga. A great heroic story that is told very well. One of Osamu Tezuka's very best!
The translation is immaculate and the story flows very well. Despite the fact this book is long it is not difficult to read and gets you hooked pretty quickly.

This became my favorite manga to read. I enjoyed the story so much and it was refreshing reading something so unique and different from everything else. I highly recommend picking this manga up.
Content-wise, amazing; physically, not the best

I didn't like that it was all one book, as that made it so big that it was impossible to not to mess up the spine. I would have preferred it in two smaller omnibuses. It was also uncomfortable to hold, especially once I got nearer to the end.
The story itself is amazing though. It is unique in its setup, and I love the art style.
