Certainly Worth a Watch

by

Dimension W is a fun anime. The show revolves around tiny mechanical devices called coils that pull energy from a mostly unknown place referred to as Dimension W. The plot flows well, the characters are thought out and meaningful, and the art is great. I haven't read the manga, so I'm not sure how it compares in complexity or depth, but for me the show was satisfying and entertaining.

It's not a groundbreaking anime, the plot is somewhat predictable, but it is a fun ride all-in-all. My only wish for this show is that there would be more to it. The world established here is very interesting, in which I feel many further stories could be told. And when the show was over, I wanted to see more adventures of Mabuchi and Mira. I recommend it, for sure.

Come for the cute Robot, stay for the cool plot!

As far as a 12 episode anime series go, Dimension W actually manages to make a very cohesive and good experience with a proper beginning and end. Plus, the characters are actually interesting. They have unique charms to them and a certain level of depth. It's worth the watch for sure. Chances are you will get caught up in mysteries and intrigue and want to see it through to the end. As long as you can put up with Robot Girls (I ADORE ROBOT GIRLS!) and are ok with some suspension of disbelief needing to be applied (ghost? Dimension W. Memories? Dimension W. Past? Dimension W.) you'll have a great time, which I had with it. Did I mention Mira is adorable?

Also worth mention, the dub is very good! I enjoy it a lot especially Mira's VA.

Hours of extras for a solid sci-fi show. Worth It

Upon buying this i didn't realize how much special features you'd get on this, which is something most anime doesn't give you. I'm used to special features being textless op & eds with maybe some promos. But this release goes above & beyond that.

You get the 12 episode show with funimation digital copy, an ova, 2 episodes of English dub commentary, a 5 part chibi style show with the characters that explores questions in the show. A 10 part documentary about the 'making of' of the show, from script writing to voice over [both sub/dub] to release. Op/eds and promos are also included

The show deals with the issues of improving technology & dealing with your past. Both sub/dub are top notch and characters are perfect to what the show needs. Great show with plenty of special features.
