Yui Komori has spent her life sheltered by the Church and the man she thinks of as her father, but now she's going to a new home and there's a very different kind of family waiting for her. To her dismay, she discovers that she'll be living with six very attractive young men, and not a single one is human!

If trying to keep an entire brood of vampires at fangs' length wasn't stressful enough, there are even more sinister forces at work, threatening not only Yui's life, but her very soul. Drawn into her wildest fantasies, or perhaps her most salacious nightmares, one thing is certain: Yui's life will never be the same!

fan service with another heroine

by

Really tried with this series but couldn't get into it. I watched the characters closely, I dissected the opening and ending songs and animations, I even watched more episodes then I intended because I literally tried that hard with this anime but I just couldn't get into it. While it is a hottie fest, I'm definitely not denying that the main heroine is way too subdued and submissive for me. She's surrounded by vampire dudes which puts me already in the mind of vampire knight, but at least Yuki spoke up.

Vampire R**e-fest (TW: rape)

by

This is basically a whole series about how each vampire get to vampirically "rape" (The vampire bite suggesting sex as they go on about 'first times' and such) Yui. Ignoring her consent constantly as in they never ask at all, even abusing her such as trying to drown her. This anime is by far the worst I've seen and really I'd be happier if it was never localized. I even think Twilight is a better less abusive story than this pile.

Good Show, but Not for Faint of Heart

by

Diabolik Lovers is a visual feast for the eyes. The animation and characters are beautiful, and the original Japanese voices are superb. The English dub is acceptable, if you dislike watching with subs. This is based off of an otome dating game series, meaning the focus is on the boys and not the main girl. As such, she is not very well developed, and a bit of a "Mary Jane" type. For myself, considering I watched it for the vampires, this never bothered me, but if you are into strong females, this is NOT the show for you.

There are definite adult elements, and these vampires are not the blush inducing, romantic type that most girls would like. They do as they please, and the heroine gets no say in anything.

If you like your pretty boys to be twisted and sadistic, this is the show for you. If you want a reverse harem where the guys are one dimensional and fawn allover the main girl for no actually explained reason, then keep right on looking.

Guilty Pleasure

by

I actually enjoyed this because it was a the complete definition of a reverse harem. There isn't many out there and this one has extremely handsome boys who are vampires! Yes, many might consider what the vampires do to the main character "rape", but they're just biting her/drinking her blood. Most harems are depicted the same way, even more explict sometimes. If you're looking for handsome boys this is right up your alley. Although, beware because the real plot of this is kind of chugged down your throat at the last minute.

Could be Better

This anime was okay. The episodes were shorter than expected and the story didn't really go anywhere until the end of the season. However, the artwork is very nice.
