About Desert Punk Complete Collection DVD Viridian Collection

This Desert Punk Complete Collection contains episodes 1-24.

The Great Kanto Desert is a place of extremes; where a hero dies an anonymous death and a villain goes down in a blaze of glory. And then there's this guy... Meet Kanta Mizuno. He's not your typical hero and his methods aren't always honorable, but he's the closest thing to a good guy the desert's got. Self-proclaimed the "Desert Punk," he's out to make a name for himself as the best handyman for hire. No job is too tough, no opponent too nefarious. Once Desert Punk's on the job, it's as good as done!

Special Features: Making of the Live Action Opening, Interview with Takatori Hideaki, Scenes from the Studio, Desert Punk Campaign Caravan, Survival Game Course, Desert Punk Side Story, Tokyo Animator College, Yuka Special Interview, Desert Punk Radio - Final Show Public Taping Footage, Video Treasure Vault, As Seen on TV for Episodes 1 & 16, Main Character Cast Auditions, Episode 9 Actor Commentary (Eric Vale - Kanta, Stephanie Young - Junko, Luci Christian - Kosuna), Episode 24 Director Commentary (Zach Bolton and Jeremy Inman - ADR Directors), Bloopers, Desert Parody, DVD Easter Eggs, Textless Songs, Trailers.

It will keep you laughing the whole way through

by -

It is probably the most hilarious anime I've have ever watched. It might start off a little slow for some but everyone will be laughing by the end. Well comedy aside it's story is alright and the presentation is interesting. The setting won't be anything new for anime veterans but what they do with it is good (and it adds more to the humor) . Overall a fun and funny anime, I also strongly recommend watching it in the english dub. Trust me, it adds more to this anime.

It's probably the funniest anime I have ever watched. It might start off a little slow but once it warms up it you will have tons of fun watching it. Well putting comedy aside, the story's good and the presentation is interesting. The setting might not be anything new to anime veterans but how they used it is a neat surprise (and adds more humor). Overall a fun and hilarious anime that I recommend to any anime fan. One side note, I strongly suggest watching it in the english dub. (Trust me) its adds and expands the anime in alot of ways than the original.

Great balance of humor. Funny how carma end up in repetition for Suna. This series comes with everything and it is great. I really enjoy the series and would definitely for any beginner of anime fans this is the movie for you.

More than it seems.

I really enjoy this show but I have a lot of friends that hate on it until they actually sit down and watch it all the way (or at least past the first few episodes) on the surface this anime presents itself as a story about a misogynistic jerk bounty hunter that runs the desert wastelands in search of his next big bounty. Little do people realize that the main character isn't actually about Kanta -the Desert Punk- it is about his protege Kasuma who convinces him to train her a few episodes in. Eventually you learn more about Kanta and he is a little less of a pig but the real joy of this anime is watch Kasuma become the bad ass bounty hunter she has always known that she will become. So give this one a chance and don't tap out with the first few eps, you may be surprised by how mush you actually like it.
