Daytime Shooting Star Manga Volume 1

I waited years for this manga to be translated. YEARS.

Is this a dream? Are we in the Matrix? Someone pinch me.

On a serious note, Yamamori Mika is one of my favorite manga artists. The way she illustrates her stories is just so dreamy, appealing and stylish. Daytime Shooting Star was the first series that I read of hers, and I was OBSESSED with it all throughout my college life.

Although the end may result in mixed opinions, (as well as the subject matter may not be to everyone's interest,) I still enjoyed and loved this manga for what it is. I'm so happy that its finally being translated into English!!!

This is an amazing series. I love the series. It was really good. Just amazingly glad that they finally get physical copies.

I have already read this manga from start to finish twice. Now that the manga has finally been licensed in English, I can actually own it and read it as many times as I want. My only issue is that because I'm used to a certain way it was translated, the official translation threw me off.

For example, when Shishio first meet Suzume, he gave her a nickname and called her Chun-Chun (which I find cute and is the noise for birds chirping). In the official translation, they changed it to Tweetie (Suzume means sparrow) . Once I googled the word chun chun though, I realized that the word exist on urban dictionary as a reference to something not appropriate in English, but I'm still sorta bothered by the difference.

Here's to hoping that a dakimakura of Mamoru gets released one day.

After reading the first volume, I am so shocked because IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME. My purchases are worth it, finally!! The story is simple, but it is so fun and easy to read! The art is so amazing. I am really amazed right now, I think this will be the best shojo manga I have ever read.

I also like how you cannot get mad to any of the characters, because the author really explained the characters' sides very well. This is so refreshing!

I purchased this Shojo Manga because I've been seeing this series a lot on my social accounts, so I've been eyeing it for a long time. I didn't know the plot, the story, but I decided to buy all the available Volume 1 to Volume 8 because of the manga reviews and of course, the art cover is so pretty!

I really enjoyed this 1st volume and I'm excited to read the rest. The story is great and the art is amazing. I really hope that Suzume ends up with her sensei.

Was skeptical at first, but was quickly dismissed. This is such a cute series! I could not stop reading after the first volume. If you are a fan of snow white with red hair, Yona, kamisama kiss; you are going to enjoy this series! It's cute and you relive that first real crush experience! It is so heartfelt and it gets better and better with each volume.It holds your interest and to me the plot is well developed, you never really know what is gonna happen next! I highly recommend you read this series, but not when you have other important things to do :) Enjoy friend!

Highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good romance with strong lead characters. A fun story overall.

I was so invested through each & every volume. The mc is very funny (in the nonchalant always caring more abt food than people kind of way). I also really appreciated the character development. The mc’s best friend is one of my fav manga supporting characters of all time.
