Dai Dark Manga Volume 1
About Dai Dark Manga Volume 1
Dai Dark manga volume 1 features story and art by Q Hayashida, the author of Dorohedoro.
Zaha Sanko's body has great and terrible powers--they say that possessing his bones will grant you any wish, even the desire to become ruler of the universe. But Sanko is still a teenage dude with his own life, and he isn't about to let every monstrous lowlife in the galaxy rip him limb from limb. He and his skeletal buddy Avakian will use their dark powers to fend off any murder attempts while they search space for whoever put this curse on Sanko's bones...because killing them might end the madness. (And then Sanko can celebrate with his favorite spaghetti.)

Beautifully Disturbing
by Luis -
By far one of the creepiest, funniest most original work out there since Dorohedoro, Dai Dark comes out swinging. Absolutely a must read for fans of sci-fi, horror, comedy and adventure
absolutely worth reading

Hayashida knocks it out of the park again, such a funny, cute, creepy manga. I really enjoy the main character and cannot wait to see how this story plays out!
Don’t miss the bonus crossword puzzle.

This series has what is expected from Q Hayashida, creepy places and people presented in a lighthearted manner, I’m definitely following this one. Also, this is one of the best books I’ve seen from Seven Seas. The cover is well designed with spot UV coating and is color on both sides. It also includes color pages when intended, which is the best way to see this art, so I’m grateful and hope it continues in future volumes.
Super sick, awesome art style as well

This was a great read, one that had me excited to read more and figure out the universe they created. The art style is super refreshing, nothing I can compare it to. The concept as a whole for the story is awesome, in my opinion, and the character designs are unique and intriguing. I'm super happy with my purchase and can't wait to read more
A great addition for any collection

Heard good things about it online, so I decided to give it a shot when I saw it was back in stock. But I got to say, after only one volume its already hooked me into the story. Great artwork, and a certain amount of comic relief that doesn't go over the top. Definitely a good buy for anyone who's into the fast-paced, slightly darker, manga.
Delightful Start

Q Hayashida is known for her dark and gritty art-style, and this time it serves as a back drop to a dark setting, the vast reaches of space. If you are looking for a focused storyline like Dorohedoro than this may not be for you. Dai Dark is more of a slice-of life series where action happens as a by product rather than a series where action is at the front and center.
That said I expect many things from this series. I hope that Q Hayashida can hold up to my expectations, but this volume was a good start.
The product itself is very well made in terms of paper quality. There are several color pages and even a crossword puzzle of all things at the end of the of the volume.
If you like weird and unique this is it.

Q Hayashida does it again! Fans of dorhedoro look no further. Same vibe but in space. The drawings are as creepy and unique as always. The books feel high quality too. Matte finish w texture and gloss on the art and title.
A Masterclass

Q Hayashida has done it again! By far one of my favorite mangakas of all time, her gritty artwork and grotesque storytelling elements mesh well with an intriguing narrative and humor that hits at just the right points to keep this story balanced and interesting.
