Ratings & Reviews
A gutsy and depraved show that loses its direction and nerve
Cross Ange is not a show that sets out to teach anyone to be a better person, nor is it meant to be tragic. There's too much comedic timing with its violence to tug at anyone's heartstrings. With no sympathetic anchor to latch onto it presents a reprehensible cast and refuses to reform them, instead guiding them into embracing their nature - and so you're encouraged to delight in watching as bad things happen to them and they do bad to others in kind. But how far can that be taken? The show is about pushing the limits of that sense of karmic catharsis.
It's exploitative and misogynistic and everything else, yes, but not cynical. There's an artist's touch to it and, most importantly, a sense of humor; ultimately it's supposed to be a black comedy, not a drama. Unfortunately it meanders into familiar-but-self-aware mediocrity 2/3rds of the way in but it's worth seeing if you're open to its utter lack of shame or decency.
A complete Looping show!
Defenily it´s a dificulty show to recomend!
Because it´s one a "guilty pleassure" of you normally don´t talk but like!
I have to confess the begin of series is terrible!
When the show is serious is his worst moment´s
For your lucky the director detected that and change the series pace in episode 7 and the show changed for the best, the "joking of him self" pace improved the show.
And a seires has started whif a "strange" homenage for a strong woman has transformed for a uncovencional comedy of love in all his form´s!
It´s a love or hate series to see!
Yes has a lot of fan service and dumb drama but...
Yes have a cut to edge black humor!
A great love story!
And the grown of woman!
To be honest is riscky to buy
But in the end, i think the risk´s will pay in the end!
The patient and open minded will be rewarded with a great anime
First of all there is no hiding its ecchi presentation but after several episodes it takes a back seat while the story, characters and plot are put in the forefront. The first episode didn't get my attention but I'm so glad I continued to watch. The story was very interesting and the characters didn't only have amazing designs but also had complete character arcs which added alot to their development especially for the main heroine. Also it had some of the best mecha anime fights I've seen in a while. In the end this is an anime I highly favor and also its English dub was done very well.

Bought this out of curiosity but I can very well say that my gamble paid off. I love the story so much that it left me wanting more in the end. Good balance in the story and I can very well say this is one of a kind.
Not for the faint of heart
This anime starts out with a depraved society where anyone who can't use the Light of Mana isn't even considered human and are torn from their family. Our main character is the Princess Angelise, she goes through so much torture.
Angelise sees the world from at least 3 different perspectives, and there aren't as many enemies as she first thought. I think this series shows the strength, determination, and resolve women have. The fan service is extreme, sometimes violent, and in every episode.
There is one ultimate evil dude calling himself a Tuner, changing frequencies of life for everyone on the planet. He's trying to create a paradise for just himself, and in his eyes, everyone else and their lives mean nothing. He uses everyone he comes in contact with, then back stabs them.
It has a good ending if you can endure everything that happens.
