This new Blu-Ray gives you good quality sound and video. What sets this apart from the Remix series that came out back in 2005, is the added extras like the hour long extra video of the feature: Dinner Aboard the Bebop which has the entire principle cast having dinner and talking about the series! One thing I must note is that the series shows up as 4x3 native on an HD TV. For the autograph hounds like myself the reversible inside cover features cool large portraits of Spike, Jet, Faye and Ed for the voice actors to sign!
Definitely a must buy!

Cowboy Bebop is, hands-down, one of the top five adult anime series ever made. If you're tired of the kids' stuff, treat yourself to Bebop. Not only action and humor, but an ending of which Papa Hemingway would have approved.

Cowboy Bebop is one of those series that is nearly impossible to criticize. It was an incredible take on the western perception of anime that caused for it to be voted as one of the top five anime of all time. Not even a person who is strictly English subs could ignore the quality that rose from the hi def version of the 1998 dub. Each character has a unique chemistry that would cause a beautiful explosion if they're all in the same room. If want to get into anime, then your journey starts here.

Honestly a person that just saw this series in 2015 I don't see why this is so highly praised. I understand that from the time it came out the dub is great and still is great. The story however I feel is lacking, the backstory for spike wasn't even in depth it just shows small scenes here and there with a couple of episodes dealing with his past. The antagonist, Vicious, should have had a couple of episodes dedicated for him and his complete backstory rather than having backstories just relevant to characters that know him. Now that I got that out of the way the characters are great, the animation is great, the dub is great, the story is good but could have been better. Overall this is a must own as this paved the way for anime and dubs!

great show you must see at least once in your life if you love anime

This show was amazing and I appreciated it as a teenager because of the action and fight scenes. Now that I'm an adult I love the story and how it tells a story of revenge and how something like revenge affects your life if you can't let go of the past. The sound track is amazing and I could listen to it all day. This is a definite must buy for any anime fan you won't regret or at least I hope you don't regret it.

I cannot recommend this show enough and now that it's been remastered and put on Blu-ray I bought it again.

This show put me onto Yoko Kanno and is responsible for the purchase of shows like Wolf's Rain so that I could continue following her musical genius.

This show also put the director Shinichiro Watanabe on my radar and lead to other great shows like Samurai Champloo.

Cowboy Bebop is a great show to get somebody who is not a watcher of anime started with as they build the crew of the Bebop pretty quickly and each of the characters have great backstories.

This is an anime classic, if you have not seen this do yourself a favor and get it, turn down the lights and turn the surround sound up and i mean way up and just enjoy.

This is one of the best dubs you will ever watch. The music, voice acting, animation, and story are all amazing.

This is an anime that anyone can enjoy. Amazing visuals, amazing music, and amazing voice acting. If you ever wanted to introduce a friend to anime this is a GREAT place to start!

The blu ray is a great presentation of this wonderful anime. It's never looked or sounded better!

This is a timeless classic, a sci-fi / western hybrid. With influential characters, and cinematic storytelling. Plus music that can take your mind on a journey like no other. A must buy

A most incredible adventure awaits you. An adventure full of Whit, Deals, Double Deals, Creepy Clowns, A Fluffy, Sentient Dog, Guns, and Bombs.... Many of those.... All you need to do is to purchase this and wonder why you haven't done so earlier.

This release of the acclaimed Cowboy Bebop is the definitive way to watch the series. Plenty of bonus features, high-quality picture, and even stylized discs make this edition worth the purchase. Plus, who wouldn't want to watch the series again?

Finally upgraded from old 480p standard definition DVDs by Bandai. as the Blu-ray is in 1080p HD 4:3 format and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Immediately noticed the improved video quality upon opening, and part of the reason was to listen to Yoko Kanno's blues/jazzy music in Dolby 5.1 surround. The music is that good!

While everyone has their own personal reasons why they like "Cowboy Bebop", it was easy for me to like because Spike's character is a master of Bruce Lee's martial art of Jeet Kung Do. But then, Director Shinichiro Watanabe adds those aspects of Hollywood westerns, situational comedy, Hong Kong cinema, sci-fi ship combat, & even some mystery in the form of flashbacks for Jet, Faye, and Spike. Watanabe using this many elements in one show is the reason why "Cowboy Bebop" still is a top ten anime show today.

An amazing anime that everyone should see. It has an amazing soundtrack and dub. The extras are also a nice bonus.

I finally purchased the blu-ray release of this some time ago. Imagine my shock upon watching it when I saw that the picture quality was worse than the earlier DVD sets, with the images getting much darker several times. There were also some coloring errors, with Ein's fur getting colored so bright it almost looked green for one brief scene. Only recommended if this is the only way you can pick the series up.

This series is so important to any anime fan's collection. It's the best anime ever made on multiple different lists {and mine}. It's simply a masterpiece. No other way to put it. Every time I see that line "See you space cowboy" I get teary eyes and goosebumps because, my lawd that nostalgia, that ending.. the music is second to none. Literally the best music on any anime, movie or show ever made. I mean.. Just to name acouple of my favorites, you got Call me, Call me.. The real folk blues?? I mean, my lord can you get ANY BETTER?? No.. the answer is NO YOU CANNOT.. this series speaks to me on so many different levels. I Love it.

_I_ can't praise CB enough (I used to have the VHS tapes, so we go way back) - it's in my all-time top 10 anime list. Recently, I let my friend borrow this Cowboy Bebop blu-ray set, and this is his first time watching it. Here's one of the first things he said: "for a show with small plots and not overburdened with details at times, specifically the tech they use for hyperspace strikes me as particularly interesting and scientific. I notice the concentric rings, as if focusing the energy displaced by a jump to speed of that magnitude. Every time I see it it impresses me."

This is a classic for a reason. Not as plot heavy as many modern anime, but still an enjoyable ride. Most of the series focuses on episode specific arcs, but there is an overarching plot line throughout the series as well. I believe what makes this a classic, and why it's still worth watching today, is the unique tone of the series. Jazz music, space ships, and a western story combine to create a unique vision that sets it apart from even other space operas.

To put it simply, this is anime Firefly, so... yeah, watch this.

I was so hyped up when I bought this anime series. Finally I can add to my anime collection haul! I watch this anime series like 3x and it never gets old. I enjoy watching the classics because it never bores me. My favorite characters from this anime series is Spike Spiegel hehe. The voice actors is on point. It just matches the whole character role oh and the opening and ending song is the bomb!
