The latter half of the second season features major changes to the City Hunter universe! Miki, a beautiful ex-mercenary seeks to marry her old mentor, Umibozu. Sayuri, a newspaper editor, confides to Ryo that she’s actually Kaori’s older sister. The coffee shop Cat’s Eye becomes a regular meet-up place for the characters and place of employment for Kasumi, the retired thief once known as Phantom 305. Meanwhile, Kaori sees a lot of action, such as becoming a thief to save an orphanage and rescuing herself and her sister from kidnappers. The second season culminates in a special three-part story, in which Ryo’s former partner from the US, “Bloody Mary,” reappears. Though a successful model now, Mary is haunted by her past, which threatens to kill both her and Ryo in the present. All this, plus Ryo Saeba’s “secret origin”!

The most wildly amusing season of City Hunter Antics

This second set of (episodes 39-63) "City Hunter" has the best, absurd, and ludicrous Kaori 'SMASHES' on Ryo's mokkori advances on women in the show. Not only are the usual mallets, hammers, and log strikers seen, but the funniest 'TEXT' as "ICBM", "Forbidden", "Mad as Hell" "Divine Retribution", or "Konpeito 1" are showcased...absolutely hilarious scenes.
Learn more vocabulary meanings of Ryo's "IPPATSU!" and "FIGHTO-IPPATSU!" when it comes to mokkori compensation owed by Saeko Nogami, and laughed out loud when Ryo's 'Sukebe Magazines' are thrown out in one particular episode. But still contains good segments as Kaori's sister showing up in a two-part story, and a 3-part story of Ryo's former blonde bombshell ex-partner from the USA making an appearance as well.
once again, this season two, Part 2 has been totally re-mastered in 1080p / 4:3 format, and great news that "Cat's Eye" has been licensed by discotek.
