Better than the average yuri
by Hannah -
Everything about this manga is wonderful: the art, the story, and the characters. It pulls you in pretty quickly, and is one of the best yuri manga I have come across so far. The yuri Strawberry Panic and Girlfriends are okay, but kind of boring in comparison to Citrus, which is very entertaining and has a quicker pace to the story.
Not Like The Others

As a yuri fan, it can be frustrating at the small amount of yuri legally available in the US. And honestly, most of the selections to choose from are mediocre at best. However, Citrus is different! It has much more to offer than previous yuri titles I've seen.
Pros: 1) AMAZING art! The art is beautiful, and pleasing to the eyes regardless of the story.
2) Characters. The development is smooth, and even side characters are interesting.
3) Story. The story is nicely paced. Not so fast that there is no plot, but not dragged out or dull either! Its cute and full of emotion.
Cons: The only con for me is the way one of the characters (Mei) behaves sometimes. It can get confusing and unrealistic at times. Hopefully more will be explained in later volumes.
Overall: Very satisfied with this product. For anyone who is a fan of yuri, this is a must have!
A Must-Read for Yuri Fans

This was definitely a pleasant surprise for me. There's a severe lack of quality Yuri content available in general, especially in the West, and I haven't been impressed by some of the more popular Yuri-themed anime either. I don't read much manga, but was recommended Citrus by a friend and I have to say the first volume was not disappointing! Very cute story and clean, shoujo-style art, all wrapped up in a nice book with decent size panels and text. A must-read for any Yuri fan!
FAR better than the anime.

I'm very disappointed in the anime adaptation of this story. They did not do a good job at all getting these girls right. While it's a bit of a slow burn at times, it's actually very sweet. You have to start here at 1, but I've read up to current in print, and I honestly think this is one of the top 5 yuri in english print. Absolutely worth picking up this series.
