Chainsaw Man Manga Volume 1

Probably my favorite new gen Shonen, the series is zany, violent, hilarious, action packed and extremely entertaining. If your a fan of manga with deep stories and good twists I recommend this Shonen/Seinen

Chainsaw Man really surprised me; I expected this work to be just a blast of carnage and action, but while reading it in the Viz manga app, it's shown that it has real heart, amazing characters, surreal and horrific monsters and visuals, and has made it my current favorite manga! It is a blast of carnage and action, but it has a soul I did not expect and it's definitely worth a read! Fujimoto-sensei is a genius!

At the moment, Chainsaw Man is my favorite thing in Weekly Shounen Jump.

Each chapter is like an insane lootbox opening: you could be getting a wholesome slice-of-life chapter, a tragic death, or (most usually) some of the wall, unexpected shit. With a series where one chapter you're literally in Hell and the next you're in Burger King, the spontaneity is to be expected. But it never comes at the expense of the plot or stakes.

Amazing designs, action paneling, complex characters, a simple but interesting power system. And pitch-black humor while your favorite people are being slaughtered.

It's hard to NOT love Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw man is a fun read. The perspective of the MC is more engaging than the average protagonist. He kind of reminds me of Gyro from HxH but if he was actually fleshed out and placed in the driver's seat.
While this series is already nearing it's end in the SJ magazine, I think it will be a staple of the genre for years to come. It feels fresh and new.

Also the art is really fun.

This is a crazy read. In the same vein as Jujutsu Kaisen, but more crazy, and more comedic. The comedy is built into it's core, rather than just being comic relief between drama, which just adds to the craziness of the story and characters. Really, the title is all you need to know about the tone of this manga.

Decided to buy this to see what all the hype was about. It has a nice blend of gore, action, and comedy. Highly recommend it.

Honestly one of the best series you might read. MC is hilarious, relatable and has tons of cool moments. Side characters are great like Power, Himeno, and Makima. Great fights. Trust me on this one just buy it.

This is a fantastic series, the perfect introduction to our main characters. Tatsuki Fujimoto's art and story are amazing. A must read for both new and old manga fans.

This is hands down the best series I have ever read. I was hooked from chapter one - and read all 97 chapter in two days. I'm so happy it's being published in English so I can finally own it! The art is beautiful and the characters are lovable. Warning: will make you feel every possible feeling.

10/10! Wow, this is has to be MY most favorite manga! It's incredible! Tatsuki Fujimoto art is SOO SO good(Tw- this manga has lots of blood and some body gore), the characters are really well written, and the plot is interesting. I definitely think many people would be able to enjoy this series even by just reading this 1st volume :).
As for how Rightstuf sent me this volume, it came in great condition; the packaging was superb as usual and it came in time, what else do you need to hear :].

If you buy it you won't regret it. This is one of my favorite shonen manga I've read, and it's volume 1 starts it off with a bang. With it's battle scenes drawn absolutely beautifully, and the story is written so well with unexpected twists and shocking bloody fights throughout, you will want to keep reading after you finish this volume 1.

A great read that I would recommend to anyone. The story is short but does not fail to intrigue you and is an excellent addition to anyone's manga collection.

This manga comes from the author of the seinin series "FirePunch", and is his attempt at Shounen. This attempt seems to have been successful as it generated much hype in the community. The reason for this can be seen in this volume which demonstrates how to setup a shounen perfectly. Much like the series Naruto, the Chapter 1&2 focuses on the Main Character, his inner power, and his dreams.
Chapter 3 introduces the Rival/Friend(Sasuke). Chapter 4 introduces the Heroine etc. This may seem simple and straight forward but its crucial to introduces these things to the readers as fast and condensed as possible as introducing them later can make it feel like the series is dragging on. A good first volume is critical to a smash-hit series and I think this one met the criteria.
I would not recommend to this shounen jump series to kids as it does contain mature themes. I also think you get a better insight if you have read other shounen too before reading this one.

I love this manga and seriously recommend reading it out if you are considering trying it! Great action, brilliant character writing and theming, I can't sing its praises enough.

This series is truly amazing in every aspect. I highly recommend this series if you’re into more emotionally driven series, it will most likely end in tears. With the anime and part two of the manga coming out you should most definitely get caught up to this unique and crazy series, most definitely worth your time.

Shipping for this volume was fast and came in perfect condition! If you're looking for a new story to get into I'd recommend this series. It has a good balance between gore/action and funny bits that made me laugh out loud. Art is beautiful and the plot gets you hooked pretty fast. I chose to start Chainsawman on a whim and have no regrets.

Chainsaw Man is a story about a boy who has to pay off his fathers debt and man do they make it a good story. This manga is very unique, I genuinely like it a lot the artwork is absolutely amazing. If you like looking at the art within the manga the detailed art on each page will be for you. Unless you are my sister, she doesn’t like the dark art of this manga. Nevertheless if you like monster slaying action with chainsaws like you are playing Doom Eternal this is the manga for you. ;)

This may be a slow start but boy does the world building payoff. Incredible story and art! I got into this after seeing the trailer for the anime, and we all have something amazing to look forward to once the anime releases. Until then, pick this up!

If I could describe Chainsaw Man in three adjectives, I would call it intense, violent, and unhinged. I mean that in the best way possible, of course! What I got from this volume was an introduction to Denji, our protagonist who lived off whatever jobs he could scrape by with, having his life completely altered after an encounter with a Devil, fusing together with one to become the borderline sadistic Chainsaw Man. After his newfound powers are discovered, he gets accepted at an agency for devil hunters and finds his life completely turned upside down, living the closest to a stable life he's ever had, even if it's anything but. The characters are wonderful, the action is intense, and my goodness, the artwork by Fujimoto-san is some of the coolest I've seen in recent reads! Especially the two page spreads! I can't wait to dive headfirst into the rest of this series.

Tatsuki Fujimoto crafts a strikingly unique and brutal manga series.

Every single character is interesting and the enemy design is possibly the best I've seen since Berserk.

There's a reason people do not stop talking about this manga!

Very fun manga to read, didn't really k own what to expect jumping in, other than manga/anime craziness. I enjoyed it.

This is one of my favorite mangas of all time. The characters, the gore, the story, everything is incredible. The emotions that are felt from the first volume hook you in and then the crazy action leaves the reader satisfied and wanting more of the story. It’s great for fans of horror and action.
