Chaika the Coffin Princess Complete Series Blu-ray
About Chaika the Coffin Princess Complete Series Blu-ray
Chaika the Coffin Princess the Complete Series contains episodes 1-12 of Season 1 and episodes 1-11 of Season 2 plus the OVA of the anime directed by Sōichi Masui.
The war with the Gaz Empire ended with the act of cutting the Emperor's body into pieces which were then carried off across the kingdoms. Without a war to fight in, it didn't take much convincing for unemployed saboteur Toru Acura and his sister Akari to join a coffin-carrying girl on her ghoulish mission of gathering those severed parts. But is Chaika the dead man's daughter, picking up the pieces for burial, or is there something far more sinister in the works?
As rumors come forth of other, identical girls engaged in the same task, the winds of war seem to be stirring, and there are those who believe that rejoining the Emperor's scattered body could unleash a new nightmare! At long last, both seasons of the CHAIKA series are collected together in CHAIKA ~ THE COFFIN PRINCESS and CHAIKA ~ THE COFFINCE PRINCESS: AVENGING BATTLE!

A Solid Anime on a Sale Price.

This is a surprisingly good anime. It's about a girl named Chaika who is trying to gather the remains of her father who so happened to be the magical emperor that terrorized the continent, only to be killed and his remains given to the heroes that slew him. Toru stumbles upon her and ends up getting a job offer from her which he accepts out of need, only for it spiral into something not even he could have imagined.
The animation quality and dub is top notch (don't know how good the sub, but I imagine its good too). The plot is also solid, (perfect as it makes you want to binge watch). The real weakness of this anime is the final season ending. As you can see in its description, the second season only has 10 episodes. I think the devs ran out of money for the last two episodes and had to cut corners. Which means the final episode feels and looks rushed, making the ending rather half-cocked. Regardless of the ending, it is still an excellent animation.
Good series.. bad ending

This is a repack of Sentai's Chaika the Coffin Princess series.. the first season is the slower paced world building and the 2nd season is pretty much battles right from the start. Of the 2 the 2nd season I feel is the stronger of them.. the downside is the final episodes. The 2nd season is only 10 episodes and the last episode pretty much takes everything the series took so long to build up and crammed in a deus ex machina ending that is quite laughable.
This easily could have been a 4 star title.. but the ending was so rushed that it only deserves 2 stars... which is a shame.
Amazed with the story an characters
Overall a solid series, i enjoyed it. I like the world an the characters in it. No one had gave me that feeling, ugh this person again. its doesnt get a 5 star because the ending was really rushed an dull for such a build up throughout the series. Yet it was fun! characters
Another Anime that's a Little Different

This has turned out to be one of my favorite anime and I'm thrilled they put both seasons in a single set! On the surface, Chaika seems to be a simple enough show about an eccentric girl who talks funny and carries a coffin for some reason. However, as you delve farther into the show the creators grow this amazing world with some rich back history and unique characters. This show also touches on real-life situations of how those returning from war have to find their place in a world at peace. In fairness the ending is slightly rushed, being only 10 episodes, but I do feel that it is a complete ending. You won't finish the show feeling left in the dark. Over-all, if you have the money and the time, this is a great adventure anime that I highly recommend!
