Case Closed The Crimson Love Letter Blu-ray
About Case Closed The Crimson Love Letter Blu-ray
Case Closed: The Crimson Love Letter is an anime film directed by Kobun Shizuno.
IN THE GAME OF DEATH...CONAN'S HOLDING ALL THE CARDS!
In Kyoto's picturesque old neighborhood of Higashiyama, murder is brewing. Detective Conan and friends are in town to support Ran's father, private investigator Kogoro Mori, as he interviews a well-connected businessman who runs a Karuta tournament. This means a rare visit with Conan and Ran's Osaka-based counterparts, teen detective Heiji Hattori and his friend Kazuha Toyama. But what's Karuta? Karuta is a unique blend of sports and classical literature, a game where players must listen carefully to Edo-era poems, then be the first to snatch the corresponding poem card off the playing field.
One aspiring Karuta champion is found dead in his home, his mysterious link to a missing master called into question. But before Conan and company can get their investigation going, would-be Karuta queen Momiji Ooka challenges Kazuha to a duel - a duel for the hand of the hapless Heiji Hattori!
The Crimson Love Letter is the twenty-first movie in the famous Detective Conan series, based on Gosho Aoyama's chronicles of a pint-sized detective solving giant-sized crimes. In this twisty mystery, Conan and Heiji, over the backdrop of old Kyoto's splendor, don't just have to make sure one truth prevails - they have to prove that two teen detectives really are better than one!

SUPER CUTE!
by Kaity
One of my favorite movie out of the two new movie releases so far. They made me want more Karuta animes like Chihayafuru. They don’t focus heavily on it but it’s like enough to enjoy the sport. It has some cute love scenes with Heiji and Kazuha. I had no idea who he is at first first but I really like his character as he was shown in the show. I would love for them to dub the rest of the series and the movies.
I don't like it... I love it!

I love Cased Closed and am happy to see someone is resuming the ENGLISH dub of the series, even if it just the movies. Still trying to get used to the new voices, but they definitely did a good job in casting. Story-wise, I found myself pounding the floor by how battered my heart became from watching certain scenes. Seriously! My heart can only take so much... And I also like what they did to display flashbacks; using images from the manga briefly to fill in the gaps. The blu-ray disc menu is simplistic yet vivid. It may have something to due with the background, but it was pleasant to look at. I'm hoping they'll continue with dubbing the movies, and eventually the actual series. Overall, a must-buy product.
So happy

I was so happy to be able to purchase this DVD. I was so sad when they stopped making the movies available for English audiences. Detective Conan is still one of my favorite series and I hope to see more in the future.

The best pint sized detective is at it again. The case had me guessing until the very end and learned about the sport of Karuta. As a person who has been watching Case Closed for years it was nice to see the Japanese name restored in the English dub. While the new English cast does well, I did miss the original voice cast. The action is very intense in this case as well, keeps you on the edge. This is all round worth it.
