About Cartoon Saloon's Irish Folklore Trilogy Collector's Edition Blu-ray

Cartoon Saloon's Irish Folklore Trilogy Collector's Edition contains the animated films The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers, directed by Tomm Moore, housed in a rigid slipcase. Also included is a folded mini-poster and 40-page book containing an essay and concept artwork.

Magic, fantasy and Celtic mythology come to life in Cartoon Saloon's celebrated Irish Folklore Trilogy, featuring three Academy Award-nominated modern animated classics.

The studio's first film, The Secret of Kells, which beautifully tells the tale of a master illuminator and his young apprentice, is followed by the breathtakingly gorgeous Song of the Sea, which recounts the adventure of a mythical seal-child and her brother on a quest, and the triumphant Wolfwalkers, which delves into the friendship between a young huntress and a free-spirited wolf-girl.

This limited edition set features the exclusive Blu-ray presentation of Wolfwalkers and hours of new bonus features exploring the three films in environmentally friendly packaging that reflects each film's loving depiction of the natural world.

Worth Every Penny!

If you are not familiar with these movies, the word "trilogy" might be a little miss leading since they are not connected or related at all; the only thing they have in common is each movie covers an Irish Folklore. In the age where Disney dominates this set of films are a "breathe of fresh air". The animation is unique and absolutely stunning, in fact, so much so, I now look forward to anyt film Tim Moore is involved in! The combinatiom between the animation and the engaging stories make for a great adventure for all ages to enjoy. It's hard to summarize each film individual but each one is impressive and worth the watch. The box set is nicey done and comes with an art book and poster. If already own "Secret of Kells" and "Song of the Sea" this set is still worth it. The value of everything that comes with this set is worth every penny!
