Not good as a hybrid release, only watchable subbed

The English dub is the old Americanized dub that changes names, dialogue, and plot. The motivations of the person at the end of the movie are changed entirely in the dub. This makes the movie unwatchable with the dub. I can only watch this in the original Japanese with the subtitles turned on. If you're into subbed anime, then this is a good release for you. But if you're a fan of dubs, you'll hate this release.
Great for completing your Cardcaptor Sakura collection

It is awesome that we finally got a blu-ray release of the first Cardcaptor movie after so long. For anyone that is a fan of CCS, this is a must-own to complete the collection along with the complete blu-ray release of the tv series

I may have not grew up with the series but I am happy I checked it out.
the anime itself was amazing and I am happy that they released this movie on bluray as well.
I enjoyed every minute of it and I recommend to anyone that enjoys watching more of CCS.
The perfect movie to top the TV series

The first Sakura movie manages to summon everything that makes the TV-series such an enjoyable show into an entry worthy of the big screen.
It's perhaps best to think of it as an extended TV episode story wise, but the animation rivals (and exceeds) the best TV episodes, as you'd expect, and the soundtrack is a success: both new and exciting yet instantly familiar. Not to mention that the ending theme is not only up there with the best vocal songs from the TV series, it's a possible contender for my top anime songs of all time.
And lastly, thanks to the setting being Hong Kong this time, it adds it's own flair in very pleasant way. If you liked Sakura even a little bit, this movie is a given.

I'm so glad this is finally out on Blu-Ray. The movie looks amazing remastered. The Japanese and English audio are both available. The English dub is the Cardcaptors one which I didn't mind having since I know others will have more nostalgia for it than me. The dub does change certain plot elements so I personally recommend the sub. Extras include original trailers for the movie. I'm excited to pick up the second movie soon and complete my collection!
Love the movie being on Blu-ray makes it better don’t change a thing

I’ve loved this movie ever since I was a kid and I was so happy when they converted the movie from DVD to Blu-ray they kept the original voice cast on it and didn’t redubbing it that makes me and other that Grew up with the original show happy
