Great start

The artwork for the series is really incredible. The way they use bits of color in some panels really makes it stand out. The story sets up a really interesting mystery that I'm very curious to see how it turns out. The world itself is really interesting too. I'm very excited for volume two to see how the story progresses.
This manga is simply fantastic!

I am a avid light novel reader and I don't read manga very often, however this one takes the cake. The excellent use of color for art-wise and story-wise has made this one of my favorite books I have read in a awhile. I highly recommend it to anyone to enjoys a good future dystopian story and for those who like when a author is creative with their art and story. Highly recommend!
Heavily inspired by western comics

It's not that Colorless is bad, I just don't think it's for me. It is very clearly and self-admittedly inspired by western comics. That might be enjoyable for some, but I read manga because there is something I can't explain that I do not like about western comics. The added color is neat, but it feels like the book was printed in full color and there is only color on a few pages. IDK how to explain it, but the $14.99 price tag backs me up. I hope the author uses this gimmick in some creative ways, but so far Colorless seems very predictable and derivative. Maybe I will be proven wrong and the story will twist and turn in the next volumes. If that happens, I look forward to a hardcover collectors edition down the line.
