Great story & beautiful artwork

this manga series is beautiful from the start. It's a well researched, beautifully drawn, & realistic portrayal of life in early 1800's Asia. The detail in the landscapes & outfits alone are worth reading this. The relationship that builds between the characters feels really grounded & develops over time. I definitely recommend the entire series!

The details in the clothing patterns, the hunting and the carving in woods, everything is draw gorgeous with care and accuracy. It's an marvelous story that take you to a different era, that covers the History of the people and customs of that time. I highly recommend this manga.

A Rare Gem

by -

I felt very fortunate to run across this manga. It's beautifully illustrated and draws you into a world of horses and desert sand. In a nineteenth-century village along the Silk Road, I found myself in rooms of tapestries, rugs, and heavily embroidered garments. I learned about the heritage and customs of people long ago and far away and the lush accounts of their daily lives - baking bread and shooting arrows. History wraps itself around a sweet love story much like the colorful jacket entombs the ink-scented pages of this gorgeous hardback book. It's a must-have for collectors. Take the journey and add it to your shelf.
