About Bokurano DVD

This Bokurano Complete TV Series Collection contains episodes 1-24.

When a strange man in a grotto by the sea offers fifteen middle school students the chance to test the game he's been developing, the kids find little reason not to accept. Who wouldn't want to pilot a giant robot and face down intruders bent on destroying Earth? Instead of a game, however, the youths discover that the metal giant is all too real - and so are the enemies!

It only gets worse when they realize that the "contract" they signed to play the game was no laughing matter. The robot feeds on the life force of its pilot. Even if they win, they die. But if they lose, the world will cease to exist!

Despair grips the children as they learn the rules of the contract and the nature of the game they signed up to play. And as they reveal the true nature of the enemy - an enemy that seems to be all too familiar - the stakes only get higher.

Faced with an impossible situation, each pilot must find their own reasons to fight, a dim prospect when many of them have pasts as dark as the choice that lies before them. Do they fight to protect a world that has hurt them, when their only reward is to die? Fifteen pilots for fifteen enemies, with one mistake meaning the end of it all.

Very intelligent anime!

Bokurano is a psychological series, in some way you can say that it's similar to neon genesis evangelion; however the characters deal the terrible secret behind this game. It is very interesting because at one moment you start thinking what would happen if you are in their situation. The anime also shows us the greedy side of humanity
Even though this anime was made back in 2007 by GONZO the story was very well executed.
WATCH IT! you won't regret it!

The Anime That Inspired Madoka Is Even More Soul Crushing

by -

Do you find beauty in death? A sense of peace in futility? Did you watch Madoka and think "I could do with some more of that, but with a larger ensemble in a mech."? Do you like your anime dark, or enjoy muffled screaming in despair? Do you wish Danganronpa was more serious? If so, pick this up. It inspired Madoka and with good reason, it's an absolutely haunting experience of a show that, if you're a glutton for anime that doesn't pull its emotional punches, or enjoy media that forces you to stare at the abyss of your own mortality (Persona 3, anyone?) then you'll be right at home here. Anyone that isn't looking for something heavy though, maybe steer clear of this one. Otherwise, welcome to the fandom, be sure to read the manga, and always remember: Uninstall, Uninstall.
