Blood on the Tracks Manga Volume 1
About Blood on the Tracks Manga Volume 1
Blood on the Tracks manga volume 1 features story and art by Shuzo Oshimi the author of The Flowers of Evil, Happiness, and Inside Mari.
Seiichi’s mother loves him very much, and his days pass with placid regularity. School, friends, even the attention of his attractive classmate Fukiishi. Until one terrible summer day, that all changes…
Shuzo Oshimi (The Flowers of Evil) delivers his most unsettling work yet, the tale of a seemingly normal family suddenly swallowed up by the creeping horror of everyday life. Gorgeous art and an understated script only serve to heighten the tension as we watch Seiichi Osabe’s life spiral into a nightmare.

Interesting story...

This new story about an overprotective mother watching over her son is intriguing. The art's fascinating and the atmosphere is ominous I'm already in love! Can't wait for the next volume.
I Yearn for More!

This is definite different from any psychological horrors I've read. It's captivating because it feels so realistic and because of that, it's incredibly twisted. The relationship between this overlyprotective mother and her son is dark and scary in a lovingly controlling way. It lives up to being a psychological manga because it definitely gave me chills and I can't wait to see how things unfold! So good.
Heavily underrated

This manga is a great slow burn psychological piece. It leaves you wanting more and certainty has an interesting story with the overprotective mother. I recommend this for anyone who likes psychological manga and if the rest of the series is as great as this volume, we are in for quite a ride!
Prepare yourself for this one

What an incredible discovery BotT is. I hadn't watched or heard anything about it before. It was the gorgeous painting on the front of the book that grabbed my attention. So curiosity killed the cat, pun intended, and I read a few chapters online. What I found was not just beautiful illustrations that perfectly capture the human psyche, but a story that makes you feel uneasy of where it's taking you with every page turn and at the same time makes you unable to put it down.
Things to note:
It's a short read cause there isn't much dialogue
It's slightly larger in size than typical single volume manga
Great volume!

great first volume

I read a bit about this being an incredible creepy physiological story, and I wasn't disappointed. The most disturbing thing about this is how real it feels. there's no supernatural elements, only an overprotective mother in a seemingly normal family caring for her son. The art matches perfectly with the story, the cover and the colored pages at the start of chapter 1 are beautiful.
The book came in the mail in perfect condition along with other manga I ordered.
A Gripping Story, a Psychological Experience
by Coal -
It is difficult to review this kind of book.
It is within my opinion that this book is best read blind. Most will have read the description so I will say that it is a psychological horror story, one focusing on realism. It is also not a gory or overly sexual book either.
The art is beautiful. The creator uses large drawings with detailed backgrounds and shading to emphasize scenes. I found myself pausing to admire a few that I found particularly beautiful. Backgrounds though, are not the only thing. This artist has a talent in drawing human emotion. Many things can be determined by looking at a human face in the moment which the author captures wonderfully. The manga itself does not have much dialogue. It focuses on showing you, the reader, a story through facial expressions, backgrounds, and scenes with some text sprinkled throughout.
If you enjoy psychological horror, want do tip your toe into it, or just want a gripping story, please consider picking up this book for yourself.
Great so far!

I have only read the first 2 volumes; however, I already love the ominous overprotective mother and the son's story of curiosity. Though I normally go for gory, dark manga, I already am loving this series. I have already bought 3 more volumes, well see how it continues to go!
Great read

Blood and the track is a wonderful read. What sets Blood on the Tracks apart from other manga is its exploration of family relationships and the impact of trauma. Overall, Blood on the Tracks Volume 1 is a compelling read that sets up an intriguing story with complex characters.
