Not a very good saya
by Max P. Sterling
i couldnt get into this version of saya. Going from Blood which was Beyond great. And then Blood + was great. This series bored me. I didnt get why she felt the need to sing that stupid song all the time i couldnt get attached to the characters. the animation was ok though, but i just couldnt like this saya. she was to much of a dizts.
Pretty Good if you haven't seen the any of Blood franchise.
When this was the artwork by clamp I knew it would be something interesting. At first when I saw this is was rather Confusing at first but it goes into a lot of twist and tradgey later on. Pretty Gorey if your into Elfen Lied and such. But it out to be pretty good. Can't wait for the Movie! Get on that funimation!
With the Movie [the Last Dark] this is definitely a good series
I start this review with the fact that Blood+ is my favorite anime in over 15 years of watching anime.
Blood C really isn't related. The only connection is the main character is named Saya and she's not really a vampire but something else. This series has some great pressurized blood battles [pressurized blood? yeah, you have to see this] and the usual funny though meaningless school junk. Saya's true character, mostly shown in the movie, shows only sometimes in battle this series. But, it's still very entertaining with some real cool action.
But without the movie, I would only give this series a 2.5 of 5.
With the movie, this series completes would it sets out to do and I thus rank it a solid 4 of 5.
So, I fully recommend this anyone who likes some cool action.
Whether you've even heard of Blood+ or not, this series with Blood C: The Last Dark [a movie], makes a fine edition to any anime collection.
A slow start to a twist of pre movie action
Blood-C is a collaboration between the animation studio Production IG and the manga artist group of four women known as CLAMP. Blood-C is part of the Blood franchise, but does not correlate with Blood+, instead being the afterstory to Blood The Last Vampire.
Blood-C does start off rather slow so it may take time to hook, but the beautiful animation does a little compensation for that. Blood-C like in the title name is very bloody, especially the last episode, so if you are a fan of gore and horror this may be a series for you.
Blood-C sounds great both in Japanese and English; the commentaries included in the extras that feature some of the voice actors and staff from the English dub are enjoyable to listen to.
It is a series that won't grab everyones attention in this fast paced world we live in today, but the movie conclusion of this series, Blood-C The Last Dark might as it is a step up animation and action wise, as well as having more of a romance story.
Gorgeous Complete Series Set

Couldn't be happier with the design of the set and couldn't beat the price. I'm a huge lover of the anime film that inspired this series, Blood: The Last Vampire. To have the opportunity own this series in such a compiled set is incredible. The blu-rays run perfectly and they include amazing commentaries that have insight into the episodes. Couldn't recommend this set enough. Get it before it's gone!
Buy me! You won't regret it.

If you love Vampires look no further.
If you love gore this is for you.
If you love schoolgirls kicking ass... Must I say it?
Tries to do exactly one thing and it does it very well
Blood as a cohesive franchise is kind of a mess. The parts just don't really connect well at all, and I'm not really sure they're supposed to. So it's best to go into Blood-C prepared to accept it as its own stand-alone thing. If you don't, you're probably going to have a bad time.
Simply put, Blood-C is about the blood. Buckets and buckets of it. The plot is paper thin. The characters are tropes. You come here for horror and gore and blood and violence. And it delivers, going to levels that will shock and turn your stomach by the last episode. Creative stuff from children's nightmares.
For CLAMP fans, this series follows a pretty familiar pattern. Without spoiling, it borrows a lot from Tokyo Babylon
Because this series is so skewed towards doing only one thing really well, it only gets 4 stars. I still pull it out every Halloween to get in the mood. There's also the sequel movie, The Last Dark, which gives some closure on what story there is.
