getting the brains working

by

Nothing like an anime series that'll make you think a little. If you like titles like higurashi no naku koro ni then you might get a kick out of this. Surely its alot less violent and contains more fantasy but still that "to figure out a mystery" thing will keep you glued to this DVD from the very begining to the very. Although you'll have to pick up part 2 while you're at it because it only looks like this is part 1. But on that note, happy anime watching people !!

You had me at Shakespeare

by

With constant references to Shakespeare's The Tempest (duh) and Hamlet plus the never ending conspiracy inducing plot twists you will never want to stop watching until the end! I for one cannot wait to purchase season 2. As we all know Aniplex sells some expensive stuff, but the quality is always top notch. This is my first Aniplex purchase so I don't have anything to compare it to yet. My initial reaction to the packaging is that it's high quality. You receive a character booklet with sketches and backgrounds for each prominent character. The slipcover is a fantastic bonus. The inside cover is indeed reversible with girl protagonists on one side and the "bad guys" on the other. Each disc is covered in metallic kaleidoscopic artwork. And the double sided poster has Yoshino and Mahiro on one side and Aika and Hakaze on the other. The only thing that would make this perfect would be if it included a Blu-ray set to balance the price.

Most underrated show of all time

by

The show:
This show is brilliant! It wraps together Shakespeare with magic and sword fights. The story feels complete at the end. I loved it!

The release:
I was really hoping for a great blu ray release of this show from aniplex... alas, like magi, this show was released DVD only. That being said, the release is very pretty. Aniplex DVDs are great quality and I love the box art!

Love it, darn you Aniplex!

At first I did not have any interest in watching it one, because of who had the license mostly xD but it ended up on my list for Crunchyroll anyways and when I finally got to it and watched it I was hooked from the very first episode, and did not quit until I had completed the entire series.
It is a smart thinky show that has many twists and turns and unexpected happenings.
And, like I had hoped would not happen, once I finished it I absolutely had to have it!
Got season one and two a couple weeks ago and, though I believe it did not get the release it deserves it still looks nice, expensive, but worth it for the awesomeness of the show, blasted Aniplex ;)
My only regret is it is not dubbed, (again with the release not worthy of it) though I myself would probably only watch it subbed, because the I absolutely loved the Princess' va, she is amazing with that character.

Blast of Temptest has a great plot with some curveballs

Blast of Temptest is an amazing series that deserves better. It's a hidden gem. I have talked to so many people that have not seen this and I always tell them you must watch it. It has everything romance, action, and plot twist to keep you hooked.

The actual product is aniplex and they always deliver on quality. I wish the series got a blu ray box set as the DVD's are lack luster on extras. You get the DVD, a sleeve for the case, and a poster. It's a nice release price point is a little high, but worth it for a good fan. I would recommend it if you got the extra money.
