Ratings & Reviews
Okay this anime is set in the era of the samurai which is really big in this anime however it involves a bit of magic lots of blood and sword fighting and a parasite that heals the body which looks really cool in action. The reason I gave this a rating of 3 is because of the main girl character. I hate her, granted she is like fifteen and naive but I just hate her personality and character.Good graphics bit of creepiness character mentality wise at times, and the ending isn't really an ending.

I bought this anime without reading the manga, because it sounded like a great storyline. The idea was excellent. The execution of this idea into a story took a serious turn for the worse. Animation is top-notch, voice acting is lousy. Manji sounds like a high-school punk instead of a samurai. Storylines are ludicrous, lame, and boring. 3/4 of the action ends up "cutting away" to another scene before you see any real fighting. There's more action in the opening credits sequence than there is in the rest of the entire series! I have to agree with my fellow Otaku, the other main char. Rin is so naïve that its annoying. Even the last episode, which is no ending at all, ends with her still being conflicted and as stupid as I ended up being for paying full-price for this worthless show. I have to thank the writers of this anime, if you can call it that, for getting our hopes up and shooting them down all in one flail swoop.
One of the best
Some people dont realize that animes dont always stick to the manga story lines. Such is the case with this series. BUT- it is one of the best of all time. Why? Because its not full of bubbly teenage girls with huge breasts and wacky nonsense stereotypes and childish drivel. I adore this series. The manga is amazing but this is great as well. A great find and I would suggest buying it.
