Awesome Movies

Great movies adapted from a great series, if you like action and lots of it this is for you, but be aware that this is by no means for kids. However if you are at all squeamish about blood or nudity this is not for you.

Sword & Sorcery at its finest!

I never heard of this series until I ran across this set of movies. I can't testify to the older series or manga, but these films are first-rate! Super-unique storyline taking place during medieval European times, with more action than most sword and sorcery movies put together! Kind of has a "flesh and blood" film type of vibe, only better. all 3 films were great, I only wish there were more! I loved the old Excalibur & Conan films, & Kingdom of Heaven, but could never get into Game of Thrones. However, this epic series of Berserk made me a fan instantaneously. Worth every penny!

Corkus is an idiot!

I was surprised by the depth of the relationship between Casca, Guts and Griffith. There's a lot of layers there, particularly in the second and third movies. Casca is an amazing character existing in the world she's faced with, and Griffith is very complex too when you really thing about his choices. Guts is a big slab of beef with a huge sword, but he clearly wants to be more than that. That ending is probably the roughest bit of anime I've ever watched though. Poor Casca...
