Great!

by

So without reading the description of the book I ended up buying it for the unique and manhwa styled art. After reading this I fell in love with the characters and the story. All of the characters made me feel some type of emotion and there were no flavor-less characters. When realizing that I hadn't bought the second volume I put it in my cart and waited for it to arrive. I couldn't wait for it to come and searched online for a translation and was surprised not to find one! I wish that more people would read it because it truly is a great series and I look forward to continue with this series until the end

Complex and tense but tenderly humorous

by

The book comes in the standard size, with glossy, color covers, no color inserts. I wasn't particularly expecting much other than the schoolboy trope so common in yaoi, but I was happily surprised. The story is about schoolboys, certainly, but the characters are well developed and relatable, with a solid plot, generously sprinkled with humor. The boys' frustrations with school and adult rules, their trying to find their way into the world, and how to manage their passions into a way of living, as well as managing old and new friendships, are difficult enough, but trials and tribulations are made even more difficult with the sinister presence of a predatory teacher. The man is obsessed with Johann, and takes advantage of the boy's social vulnerability and insecurity to force a relationship with the youngster. The volume ends on a whopper of a cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the second volume.

You Cannot Just Read The First Volume

by -

This manhwa is not for the lighthearted. It is a BL and while it does have sexual moments they are not explicitly drawn. This manwha in its three volumes contains non consensual sexual relations, drug abuse, physical abuse, suicidal ideation, and abelist language. So if any of these things raised some red flags for you I would turn back now. If not, then I would recommend buying and reading all three volumes in one go or relatively close in time to one another. This story spans a few years seeing as it starts in high school but continues into the characters mid to early twenties. The first volume for me was a bit all over the place. This volume had a lot to do and not enough time in my opinion. It can feel as if it is jumping around often making it feel incoherent at times. It felt like vignettes rather than a consistent and cohesive story line. Despite this, I think volumes 2 and 3 are an improvement. It feels less rushed and more developed.
