But instead of a peaceful paradise, Handa discovers a village full of quirky characters with little regard for personal space. On top of that, Handa’s temporary apartment has already been claimed as home base by the village elder’s granddaughter, Naru, who has a knack for getting into trouble. Will Handa ever be able to redeem his impulsive misdeed? Will he ever be able to write like the masters? Will the village kids ever learn to KNOCK first?

Great Anime and great rerelease

Barakamon is one of the greatest anime of all time. It is a very heartwarming and funny show. In the 12 episode who will get to know and love everyone on the island. The Blu Ray is nice as well and has a reversible cover so I looks better on the self.

Don't let Barakamon slip by you...

I enjoyed this anime as a sort of culture shock situational comedy series, as Handa the calligrapher, is forced to vent his frustrations at an island community. One can only laugh as Handa leaves the modern day Tokyo lifestyle to a country lifestyle devoid of those modern conveniences, and where the people act and behave very differently than he's used to. The neighborhood kids; especially, Naru tend to drive him nuts at first, but I liked the way the anime creates subtle changes in his attitude and the growing attachments he forms with the children and people on the island.

The series is in 1080p 16:9 format, and don't forget to check out "Handa-Kun" as well.
