Where Blessings Determine One's Destiny

by -

I liked that Red and Rit seem older twenty-something characters here, and the love story that also unfolds avoids the usual relationship/misunderstanding tropes often seen in most Slice-of-life adventure serials.

This is a slow-paced, easy-going, and romantic-based anime show with some fan-service scenes, some monster battles, and also some adventure scenes. Basically, younger audiences will likely be bored with this show, while more mature viewers seem the target audience.

The anime is by Wolfsbane known for "Peter Grill" and Studio Flad, both which are new anime production studios that formed the last 5-6 years. For that reason, don't expect a great soundtrack, battle sequences are not the highest quality either. But if you like a romantic anime with light comedy, past and present revelations, and tie-ins with Red/Rit and the Hero's Party, then you might find this an entertaining show too. Plus, a second season has already been announced, so enjoy in 1080p / 16:9 format.
