Banana Fish Manga Volume 1
About Banana Fish Manga Volume 1
Banana Fish Manga Volume 1 features story and art by Akimi Yoshida.
VICE CITY: NEW YORK IN THE 80s...
Nature made Ash Lynx beautiful; nurture made him a cold ruthless killer. A runaway brought up as the adopted heir and sex toy of "Papa" Dino Golzine, Ash, now at the rebellious age of seventeen, forsakes the kingdom held out by the devil who raised him. But the hideous secret that drove Ash's older brother mad in Vietnam has suddenly fallen into Papa's insatiably ambitious hands--and it's exactly the wrong time for Eiji Okamura, a pure-hearted young photographer from Japan, to make Ash Lynx's acquaintance...
Epic in scope, and one of the best-selling shojo titles of all time in Japan, Akimi Yoshida put an electric shock into the genre and gained a huge crossover audience through Banana Fish's stripped-down, non-stop style.

Amazing series!
by Zawa
If you're watching the anime and need more Banana Fish (and don't mind things being very 80s), do yourself a favor and pick up the manga! There are bits and pieces that didn't make it into the anime, but the plot and characters are just as addicting!

Amazing Story & Art

Honestly one of the most impactful stories that I have read. To the point where it leaves you with a sense of emptiness and wanting more, the art is just as beautiful as well. Ever since I read Banana Fish, it’s become one of my most favorite series and I truly recommend it to anyone and everyone who is willing to give it a try.
The most underated anime of 2018
by Keith -
I'll be the first to admit that I was a little put off by the older art style but the anime won me over. Now I'm digging into the original source because it really was that good. It's strange seeing the time jump from present day back to 80's (so many mustaches) but that just makes it more exciting with the lack of technology.
