Worth The Money!!!!

by -

I recently purchased this box set. I've owned other volumes of manga before but this is my first box set. It come with all 20 volumes, a medium sized double-sided poster, and a short chapter of a manga written by a smaller character in the story. The story is written and drawn by the creators of Deathnote, another manga/anime I recommend buying on Rightstuf. The story is about two highschool students who dream of getting a manga serialized, and eventually animated. One of the protagists, Moritaka Mashiro, proposed to his crush, and she said she'll marry him if she can become the voice actress of the heroine if they get an anime. Overall, its a great story, and it also goes into detail of how manga is created.

A Collector's Dream

Manga story itself -
A beautiful story about 2 aspiring manga artists. The pacing of the story is very well done in that it makes you really want to keep reading the next volume. It is very wordy though, if you are into a lot of action and panels with less dialogue this may not be the manga for you. If you like conversations, convictions, and striving to be the best? Then this is the Manga you for you!

This box set -
A beautifully designed box that holds all 20 volumes as well as an extra mini story! That's right there's a min story of Otter #11! It's a nice touch as this is one of the manga talked about in the story although written by a character other then the main 2. The box folds down from the top and there is a carrying handle on it which seems very sturdy but I still feel awkward carrying by that but it's still a nice touch.
The art on this box is just amazing and will look phenomenal sitting on your shelf!

A great manga series at a great value

by -

The manga plot is actually very close to the anime, it does have some additional subplots but otherwise it is so close that if you prefer to read over watch then you can just read the manga or vise versa. I also like seeing the creator's of Bakuman's storyboards inside the manga to show the process from storyboard to final draft better. The manga also gets an 10/10.

As for the boxset itself it is well made and I love the manga short. The price range is great as if you bought the manga at full price at $10 each it'd run you about $200 total vs $120 with a nice box set.

This is the first box set I've bought and it is well worth the money! I thoroughly enjoyed the series and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy the entire Bakuman series. Each volume made me want to keep reading the next and I finished all 20 volumes in about a week. Great investment.
