Don't let the history scare you!
by Baa-kun -
If you're like me the description, with all its talk of history, may make you pass over this book (bringing back all the horrors of assigned English reading) but don't let that scare you! It's pretty awesome: it reads easy--no fancy language, the shift in perspective is done well, and if you're concerned about the alternate times don't be it isn't confusing--, the plot's interesting, and the characters are likeable (except for the villain). It starts off slow but the excitement builds with each switch of the point of view and by the end you won't want to put it down! And you'll want to know what happens next, like I do.
As good as I was hoping!

I always hear only good things about Baccano, so I decided to pull the trigger and start the series. Although I'm a little late since some volumes are already out of print and impossible to find anywhere for a reasonable price.
But the book was as good as I was hoping! I'm glad I finally bought it. 5/5
