About Attack on Titan Season 1 Deluxe Edition Vinyl Soundtrack

We are pleased to present the epic soundtrack from Hiroyuki Sawano for the first season of Attack on Titan on three 180 gram black vinyls in deluxe vinyl-book packaging, individually numbered out of 1,000 copies worldwide.

When the man-eating giants called Titans first appeared, humans retreated behind massive walls. After a hundred years of safety, a colossal-sized Titan smashes through the defenses, unleashing a flood of giants and carnage in the streets. Eren Jaeger watches helplessly as one of the creatures devours his mother.

He vows to kill every Titan walking the earth.

Eren and his surviving friends enlist to fight against the insatiable monsters. The future looks bleak, but there's more to Eren than meets the eye: he may be humanity's last hope against extinction.

Great sound. Great packaging. Disappointing color.

First off, the packaging is really nice. More like a hardcover book than a vinyl sleeve. Not quite as thick or hefty as the render used in the advertising.
The pressing is really solid. Very few pops and crackles, and the range of sound is great (much better than CD or MP3 in my opinion, but it's a matter of taste I suppose).
My biggest gripe with the Deluxe Edition is the color of the records themselves. The promo image shows them with a beige-black swirl pattern. The actual product came out much darker. Like a dark, semi-transparent grey with a tiny bit of black black swirled in. It ends up looking like a regular black vinyl when it's playing. So be warned, if you're buying this edition for the color, it doesn't really provide that unique look that colored/transparent vinyl usually has.
Overall, these are quality, 180 gram discs, and are the best way to listen to the soundtrack.

Great Product, Questionable promo images and pricing

Package came in and am satisfied with what I got. Very nice looking cover to make a great shelf piece. The texture feels quality as well so I'm not very worried on the long term durability of this. Flipping through, each vinyl is housed in sleeve with the image of each respective regiment on the front. At the very back is the number out of 1000 that you have, which is pretty cool. My one big "huh" moment with this was when I noticed the color of the vinyls themselves were more clear black color than the deep black that was shown. Other than that and the steep 100 dollar pricepoint, its a good purchase considering only 1000 are being made worldwide.
