Ratings & Reviews
Good novel for readers who don't need all the answers

This book was entertaining and the premise is very new and intriguing. I enjoyed it overall and would recommend, but there are flaws, hence the 3 star rating.
The story suffers from not having enough tension or momentum so the first third kinda drags a little and then due to some narrative conflicts, it picks up during the last two thirds. This also isn't a book for people who want resolution or neat and tidy endings.
We are told some things that might or might not change with the characters' lives, but nothing is concrete so it might feel like a letdown to some readers who need more answers or want to see character growth. To me, it felt like half a novel with no clear end goal in sight so the author just kind of ended it abruptly.
By the end of the novel, the title's explanation becomes very symbolic and important as you are shown more of these characters' lives.
