About Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD

Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 1 Limited Edition contains episodes 1-11 plus a chipboard box, 4 art cards, filler box for season 1 part 2, and a Kunugigaoka Academy Student Handbook & Student Diary.

At Kunugigaoka Junior High School, Assassination Classroom class 3-E is the lowest of the low. With abysmal test scores and no future prospects, they’ve been given up on and hidden away from the main campus at the top of a deserted mountain. But when a super-powered tentacled creature with a thirst for destruction becomes their new teacher, they’ve got a brand new assignment to get them inspired about school: take him out.

In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a Grade-A assassin, he or she will save Earth from extinction – and collect a hefty reward. But they’d better study up, because their saboteur sensei has already taken out most of the moon, and our planet is next on his list!

For this being my first Funi LE purchase, I was disappointed. I really liked the chipboard box and art cards it came in, but the black-on-black text on the spine and Handbook/Diary leave a lot to be desired.

For the black-on-black text, you can't really see the title on the spine unless brought up to a light. The text should've been either yellow or white.

When the product description said that it would come with a Handbook/Diary, I expected the booklet to be filled with notes from the 3-E students and entries about their days with Koro-Sensei. Turns out that it's basically an empty planner for you to write stuff in, which is useless to me.

Overall, the dub is great and enjoyable to watch! I highly recommend it. This "LE", not so much.

Assassination On The Boxset...

the anime itself is very entertaining to me and I would recommend this to anyone :)

BUT the boxset is not worth $60
the front I like as you can see on this page it comes with Koro-Sensei's many expressions which I like :)
what upsets me is the spine of the boxset were the boxset is black AND the text of the anime is in black that you need a flashlight to see the text
IMO the text should have been in yellow or in yellow lining which would have made it better
another thing is the notebook which I was hoping would have notes from class 3-E but instead its blank for me to write in but since I am a collector I am not gonna write in it and it would just stay in the boxset

all I can say is I am just happy I didn't pay the actual price for this realease but $49 during the Funimation sale
if there is no sale definetly stick with the standard edition

Just get the standard edition

Rating is just for the LE product, not the show.

You're pretty much paying extra for the chipboard box. While it is kinda nice even if you can’t see the see name, unless you have to have that, save yourself the money. The art cards are OK but the "student handbook and diary" is just a calendar diary. It has no rules, guidelines, or information about stuff in the school in it like an actual student handbook would. Now that, out of this entire lackluster LE, is the worst and needs to be labelled correctly. I am very disappointed in Funi for that. That was dirty and lazy and they know it.

However, the one thing I DO like is that the chipboard box has space for part 2 instead of having a LE for season 1 part 2 as well like way too many releases do. That's pretty much the only good thing about this LE and I wish that practice was adopted more often than not. That's why it is two stars instead of one. One for the chipboard box itself and one for having space for part two.

Good series

I really enjoy the series. I got the special edition for the chipboard box and the art cards.. I already preordered part two and can't wait to put them together.

An alright anime but not the best.

This is a fun anime to watch, not the best anime or funniest I have seen but still worth a watch.

This was a good price and a good limited edition item to have

Amazing item to get

Good limited edition because four art cards and a pretty cool dairy/planner it was better than I thought.

Good product overall, with some strange decisions on Blu-ray.

I've been a fan since I saw episode 1 and when I saw we were finally getting the dub on home release, I was ecstatic. The chipboard box is very nice, but if the black-on-black title bothers you that much you can just slap on the sticker that comes on the wrapper; I personally like that I know exactly where it is when I look on my shelf because of that. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the lack of option to listen in English AND have the subtitle track on on Blu-ray; I just find it strange as the option seems to be there on DVD. The art cards in the filler box are very nice as is the Kunugigaoka Academy themed planner and journal, though it's not something you're likely to use. All-in-all: if you're a fan of the series but not interested in the extra large box to hold both parts of season one (especially for the admittedly steep price point), just go with the standard; unless you find this on sale!

Pretty Good Anime

Love It!

I have loved this show since the first time I saw it. I knew I had to get it and I love how it looks. The only thing that bothers me about it is the black on black letters but besides that it looks amazing! The art cards and the calender are so cute. I completely recommend this box set to any fan of the show.

Very entertaining series!!

This series is so entertaining. The series is so relatable and the additions in this bluray are a nice addition.
