A great classic sci-fi anime series

Being a fan of "Starblazers", "Robotech aka Macross" and "Gundam", it's natural to consider "Armored Trooper VOTEMS" a spot along with these other classic sci-fi series. Of course, "VOTEMS" stood out for being a mecha series that has you rooting for the underdog, as the main protagonist is constantly overwhelmed by numerical superiority and even superior firepower in vast different environments. To survive, Chirico must employ better strategies and tactics as his greatest skills against the forces he encounters. The series also keeps you interested with the mysterious female pilot Chirico first meets in episode one, to the final revelation in the 52 episode TV series. In addition, you get six movies, and another 28 OVAs that makes up this complete set.
The back of the BD case list the series in 480p/4:3, in 480p/16:9, and the OVA are in 1080p/16:9 format. Overall 4 stars!
Great Mecha action

An extremely compelling and gorgeously animated Mecha anime that is delivered in an excellent package, a must own for any Gundam or Patlabor fans.
