Volume 2 keeps it going

by -

Whenever I start a series, and volume 1 is really good, I always kinda expect volume 2 to fizzle out a bit, but that's definitely not the case. Just as with volume 1, there's a ton of content that's left out of the anime.
This novel starts with Hajime and Yue leaving Oscars labyrinth. Up until this point Hajime has been ruthlessly and relentlessly killing monsters that were created as life-or-death trials. But after leaving the labyrinth Hajime has to deal with people again but shaking the mindset he's grown accustom to isn't easy and this book gets pretty violent. Really good stuff, as with Zero and volume 1, it was hard to put down. 400+ pages in a day.
