Anohana Feels

This show made me cry. Cant wait to own it{:

I feel like I was cheated.

Here's our 2nd chance to get Anohana on Blu-Ray and with a English Dub, how awesome is that? Not really if you consider the price and what you get.

So let's look at this release, it has 2 BD discs with a 60 page artbook and seems almost identical to NISA's release. 2 Discs with similar disc arts with an artbook, the only difference is that Aniplex's release doesn't have the DVD's and is twice the price.

I actually hoped this set would have been similar to the Japanese release with around 6 discs with each of the characters on it with 2 episodes on each disc, it just seems nicer and seems like you're getting more but now it seems like a cheap knock off of NISA's release.

Honestly though since I never had the chance to get NISA's set which is around $200 to $300 now I'm still somewhat happy about this but for the people who have the NISA set I don't recommend this, especially if you're a sub only watcher.

Expensive for 11 episodes and not much else

NIS had a better release of the series. I really should've bout it when they licensed it. We're paying $119 for 11 episodes....

Waited YEARS for a Dub but...

I would've loved to get this just for the sake of the dub. However, the price is a complete turn off. Also hate to be that person but the dub sounds really bad...I had high hopes since Toradoras dub turned out really well but yikes.
Also talk about a complete scam. $119 for ONLY blue-ray disc and an artbook? The NIS special release had the SAME thing PLUS DVD disc included for $60 originally! I was lucky enough to grab that set when it was first released. Guess I will be sticking to subs only.

Pricey but worth it :)

Yes, it is pricey for 2 discs of an 11 episode anime and a 56 page softcover art book, but what else can you expect from Aniplex? But as far as Aniplex owned titles go, this is one of their best. The chipboard box is beautiful and the art book has a nice matte texture on the cover and each page. As for the anime itself, the english cast did a fantastic job. But if you aren't one for dubs, this set is probably not for you. As of right now, the sub is free on Crunchyroll, and due to the high price of the little content given, I suggest waiting until a possible sale if you want a physical copy. Overall, this release is expensive, but I feel it's worth every penny. If you're unsure or haven't seen the anime before, I suggest watching at least a few episodes on Crunchyroll first. It is a beautiful, heart-wrenching show, and even if you don't have the money to buy this set, you still should check it out. I hope this review helps.

I don't mind watching my anime in subtitles but majority of the time I understand the story better if it's in a language I understand more,
that being said I enjoyed Anohana a lot more this time around and I felt more of the feels and I recommend this version for dub watchers and plus for people who never got the chance to get the NISA release.

Great series-questionable release.

As I already own the NIS set I won't be buying this-but I have heard the dub and it's as good as the Your Lie In April dub done by Patrick Seitz. This set like all aniplex stuff is too expensive, but that's another story for another time. I'd say even if you already have the NIS set and want to watch this dubbed then by all means get it. The story is very melancholy and sad but top notch.

Great Dub

English dub is absolutely fantastic and is now my preferred way to watch the show. Box is beautiful and has a great texture. Definitely a good one to display. Art book is a lovely treat as well. As much as I love this release, its still overpriced. If you love this bittersweet show as much as I do, its worth it anyway.

I cringed at the price. But I received it today and the boxset made it worth the price 😍 Such a gorgeous boxset and it looks so petite which I like about it. I have wanted to watch this for a long time and now I finally can. And I like it comes with the book.

I know it's pricey, but hey...

As a show, it's absolutely fantastic. The characters grow on you, and you root, and laugh and cry and suffer all along, as if you were part of the gang.

I still catch myself going to see 2 specific scenes.
The theme song is one of the most recognizable to anime fans, and in Japan, period.

Definetely a tear dropper, if that's what you're into.

Is it pricey? Heck yeah! But so is many other copies that took long enough to purchase in the USA. I've spend nearly as much to purchase items from outside of the US, and still had to invest in a region free Blu-ray player!

This is for collection. You can pay way less for a streaming service, but this you can hold in your hands and watch a beautiful story at will, and show it to friends and family!

Worth a buy

Absolutely loved it. The box set is amazing. Was dying to see this one for a while and one day I saw that it had been dubbed so I came here right away and got it.
