About AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie Collector's Edition Blu-ray/DVD + CD
This special collector's edition of AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie includes a compilation music CD (including the theme song "Circle Game" by Galileo Galilei), a memorial postcard set, a double-sided Menma poster, and a deluxe booklet, all housed in an artbox illustrated by character designer Masayoshi Tanaka!
Jintan, Menma, Anaru, Yukiatsu, Tsuruko, and Poppo - six grade-school students who were the best of friends. As the "Super Peace Busters," they always played together at their "secret base" until Menma died in a tragic accident.
Five years later, Menma appeared before Jintan, now a high school freshman. No one could see her but Jintan, and Menma told him that she wanted the Super Peace Busters to grant her a certain wish. But not even Menma herself remembered what that wish was.
Having been traumatized by Menma's death, the five had drifted apart, but after giving vent to their bottled-up feelings in an emotionally-charged moment, they gradually went back to being the "gang" of years past. And then Menma said goodbye, leaving letters to everyone of the Super Peace Busters.
One year later - once again, they gather at their secret base, each of them with a letter to Menma in hand.

Ratings & Reviews
Love this show.
I loved the original run of this series and the movie picks up about a year later. It's nice to see characters grow a little more. The art box is very pretty. Not as strong as a chipboard box though. What really makes this set worth it is the soundtrack CD. The music is beautiful and this CD had almost, if not, all the songs from the original series and the new song from the movie. I wish more shows would offer a soundtrack in the set! I've had this for a while now, and still love it. I listen to the CD in my car all the time. A great purchase for a fan of the show. If you love the music, you won't regret spending a little more!
A happy yet sad tale about love, life, and death.

A film that is both emotional and inspirational.
Anohana is a story about the loss of those who are close to our hearts. It teaches us to move on with our lives even when we're lost in a mixture of feelings. If you are a fan of any type of drama, then I highly recommend this film to you.

AnoHana: Letters to Menma follows in the tradition of countless other anime movies before it - that is, it functions mostly as a recap of the original series with some new scenes sprinkled throughout.
If you've seen the original anime then you're familiar with the story and it's resolution, so I'll spare the summary. The actual movie itself takes place roughly a year after Menma's wish has been granted, and catches up with the rest of the Super Peace Busters as they gather together to write their own letters to Menma, sharing their thoughts and feelings about what she meant to them and how they're doing now that she's gone.
AOA did great with this set that I really have no complaints for it and i love how they released it with the soundtrack of the anime.
