Kidnapped by a handsome man with rabbit ears, Alice Liddell finds herself suddenly abandoned in an odd place called Wonderland. Alice, ever the plucky tomboy, sets off to explore this strange land, intent on finding her rude kidnapper and giving him a piece of her mind (and her fist). But little does she know that she's wandered right into the middle of a dangerous power struggle involving just about all of Wonderland's attractive, weapon-happy denizens.

The only way for Alice to return home is to get acquainted with the lot of them?! How in the world will she manage that and still stay alive?!

A Surprise

by -

First off, I like Alice in Wonderland. I think there's alotta great spin-offs of it. But this one took me by surprise. I mean, the handsome bishies definitely caught my interest when I was first looking into it, but it was Alice's character that really hooked me. I like how she was portrayed, not as a childish kid wanting her own way, but a hard working young woman who tries her best to cope with the situation she's thrown into. She works at being understanding and helpful. She builds relationships with different characters, not just romantic. And trying to puzzle out what's really going one with this Wonderland makes it very re-readable.

Pleasant Surprise

I really enjoyed this take on Alice In Wonderland. I particularly like the portrayal of Alice. She wasn't the childish little girl that got bored easily and wanted her own way. She was a very mature, hardworking, helpful you woman. She worked at coping with the situation she was thrown into and not judging things too quickly. She built relationships with the varies characters that weren't just romantic ones. And trying to figure out some of the more subtle things going on in this Wonderland makes it very re-readable for me.

Alice in the Country of Hearts Volumes 1-2

This series seems really interesting and has a lot of great characters that are both entertaining and complex. I really enjoy seeing how all the different characters interact with each other as well as learning more about them as the series continues and I am looking forward to reading the next volume so I can find out what happens next.
