If You Liked The Anime...

by

If you have watched the anime adaptation of the manga it stayed true to the original story line of the manga. There are a few differences, but overall it is pretty spot on. Larger plot line differences start to happen around volume 10, but it isn't anything drastic. So if you like the anime and want the manga I would go for it. If you are fine with just watching the anime there isn't really that much new content in terms of the manga. It's gruesome all around and the mangaka is definitely not afraid to kill off characters. The series overall was a solid 4 out of 5 stars for me. The ending was good.

A Classic of the Darker Side of Manga

by

When I was first introduced into this series, I was a bit hesitant to start this series because I personally thought it'd be just another one of those series where the heroes ALWAYS win and then the villains get knocked out or whatever but when I picked up this first book, my expectations were sliced n' diced!
This series is definitely a good one to start for those who enjoy antiheroes and horror! I'd definitely recommend this series for those who want to dwell into the darker side of manga and anime

A Classic of the Darker Side of Manga

by

This series is a classic when it comes to the darker side of anime and i personally recommend it those who enjoyed other series of the same genre such as Goblin Slayer and Rising of Shield Hero.
The manga is actually pretty different from the anime that was eventually released, including scenes and even the outcome of the whole series is vastly different! So if you didn't like the anime's events, i recommend reading the manga to see what originally happened in the story.
I enjoyed reading the first book with it's unique art style, its bonus pages, and of course the story itself!

I actually enjoyed this series. Many people didn't like it because they just didn't have enough time to get attached to the characters. I understand why but I'm not going to spoil it.

Since this is the first volume in the series, it focuses on building the foundation of everything that will happen in the book such as introducing characters and telling us the reason the main character is setting out on the journey. There are a good amount of action scene to keep you interested too.

I'm going to talk about the cover now. I think it's good to read it in the summer by the window with the air condition on. The red looks really good in the light.

I really think this is worth trying. Just read this volume to get you started on the others. If you don't enjoy it, then I'd say give the second volume a chance since this is only the base.
