A diamond in the rough.

by -

Tenchi Muyo! has had rough time after the year 2000, with series quality ranging from mediocre at best to downright insulting.

That all changed with this series.

Ai Tenchi Muyo! Starts with Tenchi now in his early 20's, and he has to infiltrate an all-girls school to find two people who were SPOILER sent into a dimensional rift by Washu.

The biggest criticism fans will have is the modernized look of the characters.

But the saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover" because this is the best Tenchi series in almost 20 years. Every moment a character is on screen, they are respected and well written. Everything makes sense when you sit down and watch it all the way through.

Petrea Burchard, Matt Miller, Sherry Lynn, and Rebecca Forstadt step back into their iconic roles and do a phenomenal job. I’d give the dub a B, due to some odd casting choices, and weird directorial decisions.

All in all, if you are a true Tenchi fan, you will absolutely love Ai Tenchi Muyo!

Fun story.

I enjoyed this. At first I was not sure what tenchi story line it was from. But figured it was its own story line. And it was still good. Only complain not long enough;p.
