Sixteen-year-old Ikkou Satonaka has raging hormones that make every other boy's look simply weak in comparison.
When he gets turned on, he's literally turned into a super powerful Buddhist monk capable of vanquishing the most evil of spirits! Ikkou's parents send him to the Saienji Temple to train to become a proper monk under the watchful eye of his grandmother.

Very Disappointed

This is a series that I've been curious about for years. I finally took the plunge and I very much regret spending the money.
This series has, hands down, the worst voice-acting I've ever heard, some of the worst audio quality, and every single Japanese name and word is mangled in the worst possible way. And the saddest part? The series isn't even funny. I'm halfway through and haven't found a single laugh in it.
The only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is the remastering for the BD release is excellent. If nothing else, the animation LOOKS fantastic, even if it's painful to listen to.

I bought this series on DVD years ago and have rewatched several times. I like it as a seriously told story that slips occasionally into a parody of anime tropes and styles, written from Asian point of view. The voice acting is spot-on: they ARE mid-teen girls in serious training, with a clueless horndog as dormmate. Six girls each with her own way of dealing with it. The voice acting is part of the parody and definitely part of the charm and fun of this series.
