Oh well, at least the dvds are included as backup.

The show: fun and lots of fan service!

Funny, funky, & fan service!

I loved AOARH. It's full of laugh fuel. And gorgeous gals w/ EXCEPTIONAL artwork! Truly gorgeous from settings, people, even the magic circles are perfect, & everything fits the characters like a glove.

Basically our 'Hero' crosses to another 'dimension' via magic portal & defeats a dark Lord. He's rewarded w/ his only daughter to protect. And he does exactly that; he protects & cares for her, & pretty much anyone remotely in need to the Nth degree. Yeah, he can be a tad crass & a little 'handsy' but that's all part of his charm, so to speak. All in the midst of being a top-snatching (& some bottoms), fist throwing, energy manipulating, enemy defeating, boob hound that any dude would covet! So if you like magic, fighting, atypical heroes, & boobs, or any mixture, Rogue Hero is worth owning. It's one of those series that's just fun to watch; over & over!

Nice Fanservice, Awesome Shounen Lead...

by

...yet I felt more could be done.

The story, whilst intriguing, is open-ended with no hope of being completed. Apparently; Japan doesn't like creating shows that feature strong and successful shounen leads. There's always a need to bring them down or make them disappear; else, it's garbage to them.

I liked Akatsuki... But then he ended up becoming a character I dreaded; a shounen lead who becomes perverted and ends up getting punched or kicked by everyone because of it. The ladies, however, proved that they're human beings and not just fanservice material. Everyone else had their moments; yet more serious character work needs to be done for them.

I kept talking about how "AMERICA'S NOT JAPAN AND VICE VERSA" and how Japan will NEVER a title that the West can actually enjoy. Dragonball Z and its ilk notwithstanding. I also said that the West should make it's own... But it'll never work. America's Not Japan.
