About Absolute Duo Blu-ray/DVD

Welcome to the prestigious Koryo Academy of Absolute Duo! A special school where students train to fight with weapons that are manifestations of their souls. On the outside, Tor Kokonoe seems like a regular academy student. But while his classmates carry swords, kunai, and axes into battle, his soul becomes a shield. As the students pair up in order to reach their full potential, Tor is partnered with the mysterious and exotic Julie. What he doesn’t realize is that their partnership means they’ll have to do everything together—fight, attend class, and even sleep in the same room! As the strangely affectionate girl begins pushing his boundaries to the limit, the other girls in his class start taking notice. While he’s fighting to make the grade, he’ll have to fend off the advances and attention from the tomboyish Tomoe, the meek Miyabi, and the exceptionally talented Lilith—a shield might be just what he needs after all!

An Absolute Must Buy

by -

This is a pretty good action series coupled with a little harem style Romcom, with the required fan service (though in some ways it is not serious fan service). On the plus side this is highly watchable and entertaining. The characters are pretty good and the action is serious. On the downside there is a lot of background missing so there are a to of questions about just what is going on and it has a feel of being the middle of something. That said, it does have a resolution at the end and the whole thing is well worth watching.

It has a good story

I liked 5 🌟

Good romatic Combat mix

I liked the concept behind the powers of the fighters, a kind of psychic weaponry that is a reflection of their personality. The story is fairly good and it's well worth a watch.

Really great magical, fighting story

Duo certainly has some of the elements we've seen in other series, but something about the pairings and weapons drawn from their souls gives it a great edge. It's funny, action-filled, with a nice (but not overblown) dose of love mixed in - everyone should see Absolute Duo. It's impossible not to love it right from jump street and on through the final scene!

Absolutely a great anime

This show was absolutely fantastic. It's a mix of emotions. There is plenty of laughing, tears, OMG moments, and anger. The combat is fantastic and the story line is really good. My only upset is it was way too short and left us wondering about another season.

About 2 people want be stronger & revenge for love ones!

Exciting and Heartfelt

Great show. The two leads are nuanced and interesting, and it`s fun to watch them grow and try to overcome their weaknesses. Unlike many other shows, Absolute Duo does a great job of the making the leads actually rely on each other in combat. Neither character is a one-person army, instead their combat styles complement each other, allowing them to guard the weaknesses of their partner. The world is interesting and looks great. All in all, I heartily recommend this series.

I like it

Nice Serie and I will have to agree you get invested in the story all characters are interesting and well develop to a certain point but, and I don't like that there is not a second season where they explain they expand the story where they mention the source of some weapons
