A Charming New Series That'll Have You Hooked from Vol. 1
by Andrew -
While it can be hard to judge how good a manga series is going to be from it's first volume alone, the premiere volume of this series was so good I ended up preordering the second volume almost immediately.
One of the things that makes this series work is its innovative focus on a high school aquarium club. The series is also doing a very good job so far with the relationship with its two lead characters, and I can't wait to see how it develops going into the second volume.
The book itself also has a very nice and attractive-looking color, and I greatly enjoyed the full-color pages opening the first chapter.
A lightly sweet and cute comic!
by ROME -
The first volume is a promising start to a cute and touching story about a girl who moves to a seaside town where the high school has an aquarium. The art is pretty and it's adorable (and relatable) how the characters struggle to express themselves when they're scared of saying something embarrassing. Maybe not the deepest girls' love manga out there today (Bloom Into You), but it's paced well and manages to balance just a little bit of angst with plenty of feel-good fun. Plus, maybe you'll learn something about aquariums!
Cute First Volume
by Nick
This is a really cute manga and first volume. I really like the relationship between Konatsu and Koyuki. It's awkwardly silly and had me chuckling a few times. The concept of an aquarium club is also neat and super unique. I always love reading manga and watching anime that focus on a topic I have little to no knowledge about. It does have some silly tropes from other rom-com-esc stuff, like a character getting flustered over an indirect kiss, but it's done well enough that it wasn't all that annoying. Excited to read volume 2!
Such A Cute Yuri
by Brianna -
This is my first review so please go easy on me, but I was so ecstatic to start this series as it is my first ever yuri. Now after finishing the first volume, I thought the plot and overall setting was so innovative and I really appreciated that it wasn't just a bland old high school romance. Speaking from my point of view, I definitely recommend giving this manga a read especially if you are looking into a cute yuri series that assumingly is going to be short and easy-going.
Really Sweet
by Ryan -
It's really gentle with a healthy dose of cuteness thrown in. Things don't seem to be headed in a direction that's going to involve a lot of angsty drama in future volumes, and sometimes I like love stories to be relatively light on the angst.
I also like that the 2 main girls have a lot of 1-on-1 moments that don't rely too much on awkwardness. And I like how they're set up as the only 2 members of a club, so I'm hoping that setting facilitates a lot more unique moments for getting to know each other.
Koyomi is also a bit refreshing for me, because it seems like she realizes she feels attraction to Konatsu. It gets old seeing characters who ask themselves "what am I thinking?" for hundreds of pages before figuring it out. And Koyomi herself is a sweetie pie, so all the better.
Finally, a Good Wholesome Yuri Series
by Annelise -
If you are looking for a light-hearted yuri with no over-sexualization of the main characters, this series is for you. I picked up this first volume on whim, and read it in one sitting. When a girl moves to a new town, she is intrigued by the school's aquarium club, and the girl who runs it. Definitely check this one out, as I believe it will become a big hit!
A Nice and Sweet Story.
by Edgar -
A very nice and sweet manga about two girls what more could you ask for. Getting to see how they truly find themselves is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting to buy manga
