Bittersweet end

Such a wonderful conclusion to a very captivating series! To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed with the revelations. I think it's the mystery that enthralled me in the first place - the whoddunit kind of atmosphere and the scare of who will be "next". That was the hook for me. But while reading the entire series, I realized it's really the characters that pulled me in and made me love this series. It's their back stories that really made me stay and kept me invested. At some point, I stopped trying to guess and solve the mystery, and just embraced these characters and their past and what they each had gone through, and what brought them together.
Poignant end, and yet still very hopeful.
