Good, but missing a bit

by -

This is a collection of stories, some complete, some not. The first story is "The Dragon King's Daughter", and is a beautiful story. Supernatural. This is the bulk of the book.

"How the Dragon was Found" is just that. People discover something odd, realize it's a dragon and the story ends. Building anticipation and throwing it away. Atmospheric, slight horror. Supernatural.

"Elephant Hunter" is two people talking, briefly. It's an interesting look at how an animal barely known looks to another culture. Could be real.

"The Man with Otters" is well named. A person who has otters as pets and helpers. Could be real. A sweet glimpse-of-life comic. (Not long enough to be a "slice".)

Falconer. Another short tale about a boy's first falcon. How hard it is to bring yourself to subdue it and the difficulty of letting it go when the time comes. Could be real.

There's also a framing story of a girl being told stories by an unknown creature.
