A Very Packed, but Enjoyable Third Season.

by -

The 3rd season of Index is here! Containing the first 13 episodes, this is a very good release. If you're a fan of the franchise it's a must-have.

The story continues right where Season 2 left off. **MINI-SPOILER ALERTS FROM SEASON 2 TO FOLLOW** Touma is trapped in an awkward position in Academy City as it's on the brink of war & continues to be dragged into trouble. Also, new storylines featuring Accelerator, who joined the organization GROUP at the end of the Season 2, & former gang member Hamazura, who's become a member of ITEM (who you may remember from Railgun S) are depicted. However, due to these varying storylines, the information delivered each episode can be very dense. There's a lot of information being presented in the midst of many different events, so I recommend giving this set multiple views if you have the time! A booklet detailing all the characters is included too. Very useful since there are a lot.

(Also, the final ep of an arc will be on Part 2, so maybe save watching that til it's out.)

A Certain Bumpy Ride, part 1!

by -

Season 3 of Index is a bumpy ride with breakneck pacing and some pretty rough animation at times, but it's the kind you just sit back and enjoy; there's a lot happening here!

Fortunately, the visuals are aided by the stellar picture and sound quality of the Blu-ray, making it much easier to immerse yourself and have fun on this ride. As for the artbook, it's nice to look at on its own, but it's really quite handy for keeping track of all the different characters and which factions they belong to if you get lost.

All in all, a great piece to add to any Raildex anime collection!
